I wish they just set up some lawn chairs in the outfield grass with some lemonade and put a montage of all the Red Sox recent collapses this month on the jumbotron, while the Rays just did batting practice. But at least we got to see Brackman, Betances, Jesus, Romine and other guys on the 40 man play.

But the integrity of the game. Of course, the Red Sox are the only team that know how to play baseball the right way lol

I want Rays to win tommorow. Yanks to sweep Boston over the weekend and then for Rays to pick up all the Ws they need in the last 3 games of the season against Yanks. If that means Rays sweep Yanks to finish the season then so be it. Yankees will be sorting out their rotation so they'll be playing bench players in that series with division locked up.
well , joe has to set up rotation, and while i dont want sox in, dont want rays getting in by doing number on us, doesnt make sense

It's not really "doing a number" on us when we ice a minor league team just to screw the sox

Yup ... and I actually like Rays.

Screw the Red Sox. Plus it'd make for a hilarious offseason to have Greatest Team Ever miss playoffs.

In the grand scheme of things we took 3 of 4 from a desperate team. If there were any numbers, we were doing them

I am a Met fan, and hate the Yankees the most out of any sports team (and for that, I have always rooted for the Sox)...

But I hope you guys sweep the Sox. They are just gross to watch and dont deserve to be in the playoffs. Would love to see them miss the playoffs after getting Gonzo and Crawford.

Still think Sox make it in. The Rays will probably lose tonight since they're facing Romero.

I have never understood Yankee/Met fan hatred. The teams have little to do with each other. Its not like Devils/Rangers/Islanders. Sox/Phils are far bigger concerns for the NY teams.

To be honest, I agree completely.

I wish...and still pray for...the day that I can think of Mets/Yankees in the same stratosphere that I remember reading about with Yankees/Giants & Yankees/Dodgers way back in the day, but until then I certainly don't get the venom the fans have for each other.

I also don't understand this hatred of Yankee fans by Mets fans. They have very little to do with each other. I'm assuming it's a jealousy thing.

I think the Subway series in 2000 left a bitter taste in the mouths of Mets fans.

Yeah, because Yanks fans don't pull stupid **** against Mets fans. Its definitely a jealously thing. Most yankees "fans" I know are bandwagoners who know nothing about baseball and those who do are condescending punks.

When a team is successful, theres going to be a fair share of bandwagon fans, that doesn't mean the Yankees don't have a good amount of loyal fans. I'd root for the team if they went 0-162.

To be honest, most New York fanbases aren't all that great or loyal. I'd argue the only good fanbases in New York are the Giants and Rangers. They show up, even when the teams stink.

I disagree. Outside of the "suburban" teams (the Devils, Isles and Nets), I think all of the NY teams have solid fanbases. They just get much larger (and more national) when they win.

To suggest that the Yankees don't have one of the best fanbases in the world is a bit silly. I mean, the down Yankees teams in the 80s still drew 30K+ fans to a game. There are teams today that consider that a good draw when they're playing well.

What do you mean "going to be"?

So psyched I drafted him late in my fantasy league and stashed him on my bench. Now, if Girardi would just give him 3 more starts at catcher before the end of the year...

Jorge! 4-0 Yanks!

Rays up 2-0 on Jays!

Rays could potentially end up today tied with the Sox, what a collapse!
