The shoulder colour stretching all the way down the sleeves remined me of the 80s uniform.

I didn't really care for that aspect of that uniform.

But all in all - this is nit picking. I'll certainly wear that jersey proudly.

I agree the Whites will take a lil bit of getting used too and will look better once they are wearing gloves and pants...

but the Blues ones kick ass... and they look even better in HD they just showed them on the news

5 stars because I would've been fine with the NHL logo on a practice jersey.

Something I just noticed is that they used the Calgary Flames' slanted numbers from a few years back. And the sleeve stripes are also lower than normal, i.e. close to the gloves.

I voted 3 but I should have given it a 2.

that is like the minimum effort possible to elevate it beyond a practice jersey.

seriously?...2 stripes along the bottom and two on the elbow?....boring.

no creativity whatsoever.

that elbow thing on the white one is awkward.

very disappointed....back to my WHA jersey i guess.

so much for 'not even close' from true north...the blues are not that far off from the fake.

i was hoping they would have a bit of character...a centre stripe or something....or the bright blue as the dominant colour....be at least a little unique....that is no different than a stock jersey you buy in the discount bin at canadian tire.

There's an idea!

I'll wait until next year and get a redesigned white one. I can almost guarantee that after Chipman reads these reviews he'll grab the idiot from Reebok who designed the white sleeves and chain him/her to a desk until they get a new one for next year.

Gave it 5, like em both. Probably gonna pick up an away one first, might actually be my favorite of the two, guess I'm in the minority there.

I love the hysteria of the internet. Yes, clearly these unis are no different than a discount jersey from Canadian Tire.

Same feelings as most. Love the Blues, dislike the whites.

Don't know why TNSE kept the stripe down the arm like on the Moose jerseys. Yuck.

Blue = 5
White = 1

I was going to get a Moose jersey the year they brought in the stripe but once I saw it I said "no way" and just got a practice jersey. But the Jet white is worse because it has all those lines choking the sleeve stripe.

The blue is very basic, which is good. I gave it a 4 and the white a 0.5.

thay arent really...go to any jersey web site....they could have picked this off a stock layout.

they had a chance to make a statement and define the brand.....like when the kings went to black and silver....or when the sharks came into the league....their brands went global.

this is a very ordinary jersey....i like the logo, but really there is no creativity in the jersey colouring or layout at all....they are extremely safe.

winnipeggers will buy them but i dont see this any anything that transcends the local market.

even something like this would have been nicer.

Hmmm, I had the exact opposite reaction to most. I really liked the whites, the blues were meh. (BTW I saw them in person).

I like both sweaters. The home ones are spectactular and the road ones are pretty sharp. I like the secondary light blue and the silver and I am very happy that they kept the red out like they said they would.

Overall:

Home Sweater: 10/10
Road Sweater: 8/10

That might be the ugliest jersey I've ever seen ... followed closely by the Wild

How come the pre-order is only for the replicas but not the authentics? I thought they said they were going to get the authentics shipped first.

The blue home jersey is beautiful. We are really lucky to have these. Simple, classic, yet still modern.

The white jersey on the other hand...

From the press release on the Jets site

Quote:
Fans will be able to pre-order Winnipeg Jets jerseys by logging on to www.winnipegjets.com beginning today at 4:00 p.m. and ordering through “Jets Gear” the authentic team store of the Winnipeg Jets. Besides customizing their own name and number on the jersey, or that of their favorite player, fans who order their jerseys through Jets Gear will also have the exclusive option to include the inaugural season patch. These patches will only be available to fans through Jets Gear.

“Authentic” Pro Weight Winnipeg Jets jerseys will be available in Jets Gear in early October while “Premier” Replica jerseys will be available two to three weeks later.
It looks like you'll be able to pre-order either one, and yes, authentics will be available first.
