most likely. but looking at injury record the last seasons, we can always expect someone to be up with the wings or out of the griffins lineup. so i think 8 D for the griffins are needed and will likely rotate. i think either piche or ehrhardt will play in toledo at the start of the season. and hopefully they trade pyett for a bag of pucks.

5 are allowed.

And I really don't get the Pyett hate, I think he'll have a good season.

I like Pyett too, I hope he plays well. The Wings could really use a righty.

the roster just got bigger:

"The Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday announced the signings of forward Adam Estoclet (EHST-oh-clay) and defenseman Bryan Rufenach (ROOF-uh-nahk) to standard AHL player’s contracts."

the griffens didn't score enough goals last season, so they could only have 2 minutes of highlights

I was wondering why Jeremy Williams was in there.

What are the odds that Exelby cracks the Wings lineup at all next year?

veeeery bad, the only time I could see it coming is if there is a major injury bug that puts out 4 regulars and babcock think the team has been playing too soft lately and need some hits and feistiness

We would need likely two/three injurys for that to occur. He is behind Kindl and Smith (maybe Janik) for an NHL spot.

There has been some nwe additions to the team?

Could someone get some short info?

Chris Conner is playing as a center in the camp. Would this be the same plan for Griffins?

Wow, that's bull ****! Callahan didn't even play a game. I'm just glad we had all those soft euros show nothing but we have a gritty guy in Calahan that wants to show what he can do and he couldn't. They didn't even give him a chance. That's a shame because that kid is going to be a best in a few years.

Maybe -- and stay with me here, because this might be a stretch -- maybe he wasn't good enough?

I know, I know, that can't be right. I mean, the Wings staff only got to watch these guys practice once or twice, and made their decisions by reading tea leaves, right?

And to add to this, maybe the guy isn't. Strong enough yet, maybe they didn't want him picking a fight and getting hurt doing it. Several factors in play, none of them are enough to get pissy about.

Maybe he had an injury that we weren't made aware of

I'm not ******** that Callahan didn't play. Sure he can show us what he's capable of, how does that help. I'm more interested in the players that are fighting for a spot this year.

He'll have his time in Kelowna or GR (wherever he's going).

btw, Parkes and Aubry are playing in GR? Don't they get another year in juniors (Aubry at least)? If this is the case, I might have to catch a few GR games when I can.

Callahan will do fine & we'll see him in 2-3 years. Does this mean Oslund has a contract with the wings or GR?

You shouldn't be ********. A player of callahans mindset feeds off of negative energy. You say he isn't good enough to play in the prospects game, well it gives him all the more determination and motivation to get that much better. He could end up as our best prospect next year because he missed the preseason; nobody knows. Each year is different.

But on a side note... I guess his chances of becoming our best prospect are the same chances that Illari Flippula had of making the big team.

1. I said I wasn't ******** about Callahan not playing

2. I never said he wasn't good enough. I just said he isn't one of the players who would make the team this year. Limiting the numbers helps focus on the players fighting for a spot this year and puts pressure on them to perform.
