The KHL cares more about expansion to the West (and financing foreign teams with Russian money) than providing basic safety issues like safe aviation for it's teams.
What MUST follow is a basic rule that no KHL team is allowed to fly with a plane that has any safety issues whatsoever.
Agreed on the safety issues. I remember in Dave Kings book, he said they flew a plane that all of the players referred to as "pterodactyl" express on occasion. He said the players hated it because it was wobbly and old (not sure if in fact it was the same type of plane), but risks like this should not even be considered.
Just thinking about Daniil Sobchenko, heart and soul of the Russian junior team. Those unbelievable moments he had during the November ADT Series, and then how can you forget his face when he was on the bench seconds before the end of the final. I have a tear coming every time I think of that moment.
