Zharky was smart and patient, Vasy wasn`t. It`s never a good move for a young player. Tatar knows it, that`s why he isn`t long gone to Spartak Moscow but still playing for the Griffins.

Dammit.

Demitra gone.. Some people call me Pavol Demitra, and i remember him playing always in world cups and in nhl. Very sad... and Vasyunov too, so sad. Rip.

Nobody seems to be sure. There are reports he wasn't on the plane, and other reports that say he was and he died.

Karel Rachůnek (former Senator, Ranger and Devil), Josef Vašíček (drafted by Hurricanes, also Predator and Islander), Jan Marek (for me one of the most skilled players not playing in the NHL) - all together heroes of the Czech national team on WCH 2005 (Vašíček scored goal in the finals), 2010 and 2011 (Rachůnek saved our team 8 secs before the end and Marek scored in the shootout after that) ... Pavol Demitra, slovakian legend with capital L, retired from slovak national team this May. Karlis Skrastins, apparently also Ruslan Salei, and many many others... All will be remembered as great players, great people - but also as proof of KHLs unability to ever be like NHL (did anybody say Alexander Cherepanov?).

This league hasnt brought ANYTHING good to the world of hockey. ANYTHING. 95 percent of games arent watchable, they probably also stole Jagrs points no 1600 (coming and 1700, perhaps also 1800, a few years ago they terminated one of greatest russian talents (A. Cherepanov) and now one ****ing WHOLE TEAM. I repeat, tihs league hasnt brought anything. But what did it take away from us? See above...

I just...ugh...

This has to be the worst hockey tragedy in history, right?

All we can hope for now is that Salei wasn't on the plane.

RIP Vasyunov...this is just terrible.

I recall Kovy said he and Vasyunov had become tight in his brief stint with the Devils.
