Well, at least he got a 1 way (Mancari), correct?

And Byron is headed to Abby.

Yep, he'll get $525,000 to play in Chicago where he'll probably be a star because of their focus on AHL veterans.

Hmmm. Brulé waived by Edmonton. Any interest there?

Not really, since his salary ($1,850,000) is too large for us to take on.
If we had the cap space, he'd possibly be intriguing, but I don't think moving out anyone on the team for Brulé makes us better.

Phoenix will probably pick him up to go along with their other first round busts Chipchura, O'Sullivan, and Pouliot.

Per trade board, Avery and Blair Betts waived. Interesting. I wonder if either will get picked up. Dont know about their contracts. Betts was difficult to play against and very fast.

Avery is cancer, any team picking him up would be stupid.

@jonasTSN1050 Tim Connolly told Ron Wilson after practice that he's doubtful for Thursday.

Only way I could see it is if Brule clears and they could swap he and some other salary for Morrisonn. Edmonton might want a serviceable defenseman and they could use him as a reclamation project in Rochester.

It's more likely that he winds up un-tendered next summer, so he'd be an interesting league minimum type of pickup. When the kid is healthy, the tools are there. In the right environment, he could be molded into a useful player.

He cleared today, so it might be a possibility.
Both are pretty close to useless assets to their teams and a swap like that would fill the needs of both teams.

Here's an interesting article on his issues.

"Tim Connolly told Ron Wilson after practice that he's doubtful for Thursday."

It's going to be pretty funny watching this from an outsiders perspective this season

I had a feeling a team in our division would scoop him up, with the exception of Boston.

He'll only miss the first two games and the Leafs were over the 23 man roster.

I hope your source for this information was reliable. Jochen Hecht was only held out of practice two weeks ago for precautionary reasons and Marc Staal was joining the team in Europe. Look how those two ended up.

Connolly only slide into the boards during practice and is still skating with the team. It's not like he got a concussion like Marc Staal did.
