Ex-NHLer Denis Grebeshkov, native of Yaroslavl, tells Sport-Express he's ready and willing to join Lokomotiv. "Something I would have to do"

Earned a lot more respect for these players in the matter of seconds (not that I didn't respect them before).

Denis Grebeshkov is truly one hell of a person. He only played here for a short while, but in his first game he took a puck to the... um... well, men, you know. That was in the first period. He played the rest of the game before having it removed surgically. I expect nothing less from him. Nothing but class and toughness.

This would be the best place for Yashin to play this season. It would be alot more meaningful than coming back to the NHL.

Hope Yashin actually wants to play for Loko. If so, I wish him to have one final good season before the end.

Oleg Petrov told Sport Express that he still doesn't know if he'll play for another year, but there is a chance he'll do it in Yaroslavl.

Re-starting the team right now is a lack of respect for those who died and their relatives.
They should just wait until next season to start all over again under a new name, too.

No it wouldn't be. That city needs something this winter. Also changing the name would be wrong.

It would be wrong if they wouldn't play.

I disagree, it is not lack respect, but people need hockey.
I hope they rebuild soon a new team
Dead guys would be first, which want the show must go on

Indeed, and Loko fans need hockey more than anybody right now.

Really? You think guys like Demitra, McCrimmon, Salei, etc. wouldn't want the season to go on? Guys who have a true love for the game like those guys would definitely want to keep it going.

Watching the ceremony in Yaroslavl on television, they stated there will not be a Lokomotive team taking part this season.

I think they should play some games (probably each team 1 or 2) in Yaroslavl, so that local fans could see some professional hockey this year.

I'd support moving the All-Star game from Riga there, or perhaps even playing all 4-7 games of the championship series in Yaroslavl.

Both are great ideas, at least if it's ok for the team that has the home advantage when going to the finals. And it was the right solution to not gather a line of new players for the starting season.
