Первым хоккеистом "Локомотива" стал 20-летний защитник Егор Яковлев, выступавший в системе "Ак Барса", информирует официальный сайт КХЛ. В нынешнем сезоне Яковлев защищал цвета альметьевского "Нефтяника" и казанского "Барса", сыграв в общей сложности 16 матчей и набрав 6 (2+4) очков.

For sure they can. Obviously not that exact roster, but for a long term plan, yeah. if 5 make it from this roster, and another 5 the year after that, it will be a success. Apalkov for example is ready right now. Besides, its hard to sign mature talented players mid-season to play in the VHL. They gotta try out their talent, develop it. And reinforce the roster during the off season.
that being said, im not sure how they can handle Neftyanik on the 12th. Nevermind Donbass, Rubin, etc.
