Now there's a guy I heard about a few years back during his draft year, and forgot about completely. I can see him becoming relevant once more so long as he continues his play.

Big game tonight. Galiev skating, but still out for a few weeks. Gonna be there sat in section 40 (ugh)

Saint John #1 vs Halifax #2 (fewer games played)

Saint John Players to watch:
Phillips+Huberdeau 2 headed beast

Halifax:
MacKinnon - Local kid is killing it

DOD was out with a sore back a few weeks ago...and I believe I read somewhere that he was out with personal reasons. I haven't heard anything official (or unofficial for that matter) of him leaving.

Huberdeau #1 CHL star this week

great play between he and Jurco at 24 seconds (big hit from the relatively small Ryan Tesink to start the video off)

Sick. 'Nuff said.

Any word on Tesink? He went down hard last night vs. the Drakkar and didn't return. Hope he isn't out for long.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League annonced today that Victoriaville Tigres’ right-winger, Brandon Hynes will replace Saint John Sea Dogs’ Jonathan Hubedeau for the first game of the SUBWAY® Super Series. Quebec Remparts’ Anthony Duclair will take his place on Wednesday for game 2. Huberdeau was injured during Team QMJHL’s morning skate in Victoriaville.
Any details on what happened?

Edit:

Docs haven't confirmed it yet but early indications are that Huberdeau has a broken bone in his foot. Hope that doesn't keep him out of WJC.

Sounds like Huberdeau could be out for around a month...I hope to god he isn't out for the WJC. We haven't had a prominent presence there on the dogs front in...well, ever. Dido was a top-liner, but majorly overshadowed by Tavares. Nobody could possibly be surprised by that, anyway. Despres played a good shut-down role last year, but rarely, if ever, do the shut-down guys get noticed. Hubs would definitely be a depended-on scorer, for sure.

Good win vs Shawinigan.

No Huberdeau, Galiev, or Tesink required.

They don't have a whole lot of future assets to be giving up without killing the team's future, and I'm not sure they really need to in order to win the cup anyways. I'd be happy to see him there though.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an addition !!!! Early Christmas Present !!!!!!!!!

Great move for free, now if we can acquire a goalie to push Corbeil or maybe even a #1, and depth on D and maybe a cheaper guy like Tanguy now way we don't repeat.

Any chance Connor Brickley follows Coyle to Saint John after the WJC's?

I heard that too...

Also, SJ is in the mix for Ellis or Gormley. One will go to Shawi thats for sure. Where the other one will end up.. Victo, Que or Hali are the only other 'serious' contenders.

With the addition of Coyle you have no need for Duffy. I'd put Halifax first on the list for him. Sackville kid, probs wants out of PEI (good for the rebuild) and could contribute this year and next (go for it year) ... But anything could happen.

I also believe if Gormley/Ellis goes to SJ, Cooper will be leaving, maybe Kelly too.

Cooper: 16yo, 1st round pick this past year. 18 pts so far.

Kelly: 18yo 16 pts, NHL drafted.

Cooper > Kelly in terms of potential and trade value.

Minus - Huberdeau, Beaulieu, Gauthier, Roussel, MCT.

Then you can only keep 3 of the following:
Galiev
Jurco
Phillips
MacAuley
Durepos
Gagne
Seed
Saab
MacDonald

Ya, theyll be awful. But they had a good run

I could see the Moose gettin Gagne or Durepos... just sayin. And Galiev Jurco and Phillips going pro being 20's.
