Boston fan here, and a new Dallas fan. I'll be cheering for Dallas this year as my folks are from the same town as Ryder and Pardy are from. I gotta cheer for the guys from back home!
I had my annual hockey pool draft last night. 17 guys each pick 12 players. Only total points count, and you take your top 10 scorers at the end of the year to determine the winner. By the end you are looking for 30 point scorers! I have Ryder and Morrow on my team, so all the more reason for me to cheer for Dallas!
this is an extremely tough Chicago team we'll be lining up against. Dallas is going to need an effort from all 4 lines that we haven't seen in a couple years to come away with a victory tonight. The other key to the game will be special teams - Chicago is definetly one of those teams that can pick you apart on the power-play, we need a perfect night from the PK units.
another thing I'd like to see tonight is increased physicality from the Stars to the point where they're skirting the line with playing "dirty".
I know that alot of people wouldn't agree with that assessment, but it's a tool that teams like Nashville and Anaheim use all the time against the top teams in the league (and against us too I might add). It's something that Dallas has to have in their arsenal when things aren't going their way beyond the 2 or 3 guys on the team who played that way last year.
