The Oilers predictions are a little weird..

No Hemsky or Whitney and Eberle ahead of Hall? Not so sure about that.

I like the list. I didn't go through it with a fine-toothed comb but I noticed that it's fairly conservative. I don't think you went out on too many limbs which is sometimes interesting to see but I think like this you're definitely going to be pretty close (barring injuries).

I don't think you should have included rookies in the main list, there's a lot more guessing and speculation with rookies, you should have put them separately and posted their point totals assuming they play a full role on the team.

Either way, your list your rules, good job.

What on earth is the point of predicting GP? Why not just normalize everything to 82 games?

I fixed it. It was at 88, just hadn't switched it from a previous player.. copy pasting error.. great to see the feedback.. so good.. some not as good, but i like it all.

Hemsky's coming up for those Oilers fans, I just think the young guns will out shine. perhaps I should have put him higher, just a guy with injury problems the past two seasons, so it's hard to rank him accurately. I do hope he can stay healthy and prove me wrong though.

Those predictions seem fairly reasonable, except I doubt Crosby will be playing 68 games this year, and I agree with the poster who said it's pointless to predict games played. Just assume everyone plays 82, then if they don't see if their points per game was atleast fairly accurate. I don't think there will be that many players with 80+ points. I expect scoring to go down again this year.

NIce job...

if you think the Caps will be offensive minded once again, then Semin should be around a PPG+ as he always has been before last season. Hes an incredible offensive talent when hes allowed to be.

I think Tavares will be closer to 80-85 pts, imo. He and his team are just getting better.

Hall will score way more than 23. I predict a 35G 70P season

Johansen's quite high for a kid coming out of junior. I dont see him playing on the top line as a C.

Jagr at a PPG after 3 years in the KHL?

Oshie's high, I would switch him with Stewart (had close to a PPG with STL).

Zajac is out several months, and I believe Kesler is out too for a bit.

Spezza will score more points than Oshie. Book it!

These predictions are rather high, a little wishful. I like it. But where is Tavares?

Great list, well done

Hoping for more from Loui, but a 30+ goal campaign next year would be awesome.

Great List! Can't wait for some hockey. PM Bouchard could be up there in scoring if healthy (big if I know). 50-60 pts perhaps.

Not trying to be mean, but this isn't exactly a realistic list.

Basically you are saying that the amount of players with 90+ points will more than double from last season? Not going to happen. Hell, you've got more 90+ point scorers this year than 80+ point scorers than last year.

Goals seem more reasonable, but assists are also way too high, inflating point totals.

There as also only 14 players that scored a PPG or over(at least 41 games played) so it's a small list of guys that can get a PPG consistently, but it sees you've got at least 25 guys at that level which hasn't happened since the more open 06/07 seasons five years ago.

I think it's just a little high. You've got most of it pegged, but some things stand out for me...

Briere getting 79 points in 67 games? Really?

Parise coming back from surgery and scoring 87 in 79? Little high IMO.

Staal, who hasn't been over a PPG in 6 years going well over at 86 in 77.

Brad Richards who has been well over a PPG the last two years drops under guys I mentioned who haven't been over a PPG...

As for my team, the Wings, I think you've got it pretty close, although I have a hard time seeing Zetterberg outscore Datsyuk and have a better PPG. I figure Datsyuk is probably around 85 points(good for top 10) and Zetterberg at around 78, good for top 15.

Franzen and Lidstrom I think you've got down perfectly. Although I think Kronwall could crack 50.

Anyway, decent list, but a little optimistic, IMO.

Briere getting 79 points in 67 games? Really? ? Agree. Could be most outlandish prediction

Parise coming back from surgery and scoring 87 in 79? Little high IMO. ? Agree. Parise of old will take at least two months to surface.

Staal, who hasn't been over a PPG in 6 years going well over at 86 in 77. ? Could see it happening. He hasnt exactly had a lot of offensive support and thats changing.

Brad Richards who has been well over a PPG the last two years drops under guys I mentioned who haven't been over a PPG... ? Agree. He will be given every opportunity.

Although I think Kronwall could crack 50. ? Agree. With Ralph gone he should play opposite of Lidstrom on the PP.

Anyway, decent list, but a little optimistic, IMO.
Couldnt find bolding brackets on my phone. My comments are listed after ?

eh he has those players within a point or two of each other. not that big a deal. the real question is where is marchand? less than 47 points this season? not sure i buy that one. kid played like half of the year on the 4th line last season and almost no pp time.

i suppose a soph slump is possible but he seems like one of the players who should see a bump in production simple because of better players on his line and added ice time.

Obviously injuries can alter your list, but overall this is a nice guide for casual poolies. Well done.

Just commenting on the Blues, I really doubt Oshie leads the team in points. I see Stewart with 72, Berglund with 70, Backes with 66 and Oshie at about 62.

I think van Riemsdyk will score more then 48 points if he plays 76 games. You only gave him 5 more goals and 3 more assists. I expect him to score in the 60s this season due in large part because I believe his ice time will go from 14:32/gm (last season) to 18+/gm with ~2M of that increase to be on the PP.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

To the Bruins fan, I have Marchand with 45 points, slight increase from last year. I think he will be a hell of a playoff player, but i see his offense topping out around 60 points. I agree he's not the type to have a sophomore slump though. Watched him for years in Halifax, plays with heart and energy. Love the guy!
