I was sitting right in front of the red line. My brother in law was right beside me in a Tampa Bay Bucs uniform

Was thinking to myself, wonder how many HF Boards posters are here. You guys were right under my nose and I didn't even realize it. Not sure if I remember seeing a guy in a Tampa Bay uni.

Watch global news at 10
During the sports they show video of the practice.
They pan to the left and both of us come into the screen
I am wearing a light blue jets shirt beside the red bucs uniform

Checked out the Global Sport report and I think I saw you guys. Its was towards the end of the report when they were showing Zack Yuen close up huh? See you taking pictures and your brother in law in his red Tampa shirt with #5 on it? right?

If so, I remember walking behind you guys on the way to where I sat. I actually sat down to the left of you first, but moved over to the right. Weren't you guys talking to some guy who said that he had gone to 3 games in Atlanta and only remember 2K people in the stands?

Ya, I think I'll take my one year old son with me today. Curious to see a few of the prospects in action.

I will be headed their again today, this time with my sister and her boyfriend. For whatever reason they are on the RRCO ice today (smaller stands) and if the website is correct the practice is 90mins today.

Thus the Sept. 15 date deadline for the draft.

I was there today, I gotta say I was very impressed with Scheifele/Klingberg/Gregoire. Of any of the forwards during all the drills these three stuck out. Telegin looked very quick today however he seemed to fall a few times! Melchiori was the only D that caught my attention. He seemed stronger and better positionally than the others.

John Albert also impressed me during the contact drills. This dude really played hard and for a guy at only 5'11 he was very tough. He also had the biggest hit of the practice on Ben Chairot.

I also thought Michael Kirkpatrick and Shayne Wiebe have great speed but especially in Wiebe's case he needs to get a little bit stronger as he got knocked around a little too easily.

I enjoyed today, looked like either the goalies had a great day or we're gonna have trouble putting the puck in the back of the net. Mark, Carl, Ivan and Julian all caught my eye. Looked like they were on another level IMO. I saw somethings I like out of Yuen, but also a shift where he made mistake after mistake.
All in all I think there was alot of talent out there, it's just going to interesting to see how it stacks up against their competition.

Like Ovechkin, but a lot worse

Being around the guys for two practices in two days, here's some of my impressions of the Jets prospects at camp:

That line of Scheifele, Klingberg and Gregoire is going to be interesting to watch at the Young Star tourney. They seem to already have some chemistry going on.

I'm concerned that size will be a factor for Gregoire. Looked small out there to me. Hard to tell from just practices, but hopefully he won't be easily knocked off pucks.

Klingberg and Scheifele seemed to be the leaders out there. Both were first on and last off the ice after the goaltenders both days.

That Ivan Telegin sure has a good set of wheels.

Adam Lowry needs to bulk up abit. He gets some more weight on that 6-4 frame and it'll do him alot of good.

Too bad Michael Kirkpatrick is so small, he's a little fire plug.

Cody Sol, Julian Melchiori and Sebastian Owuya look massive out there. The only shorty on the whole defensive corps is Zach Yuen. Yuen certainly shows signs of talent, but noticed he has a hard time pushed people away around the net.

If Carl Klingberg makes the Jets, I think he'll become a fan favorite. He's already a favorite with the media. We'll be a quote machine. That "Like Ovechkin, but a lot worse" line is already a classic.

Jordan DePape wasn't on the ice today. Anyone know why?

Okay I guess, didn't really stand out. But only drills. Liked to have seen him in a scrimmage situation.

Watching San Jose vs Calgary right now, right away I see a dude in a Jets jersey. Right on to whoever that was.

From what I've seen of the Rookie tourney in Oshawa (Leafs, Sens, Hawks, Pens) and the Calgary vs San Jose game going on right now, it looks like everyone is wearing their regular unis.

Given that, hope the Jets don't look like the poor cousins by only wearing their practice jerseys at their games.

BTW, Keith gives a good post game interview.
