It is real and legit and if you watched the video you would realize it is very relavant to today and not 5 years ago. Not only is this video bringing awareness to what is going on in other parts of the world...it is also bringing out the group of people who don't seem to care that children are being *****, tortured, forced to kill their parents because it happens somethwere else in this world. The video isn't about raising money it is about letting society know what terrible things happen in this world and to keep the issue on the politicians agenda.
I disagree. Mostly because I bristle at the mere mention of wrist bands.
where would you guys suggest that an anglophone look for a job? most job listings i've seen require someone bilingual...i am pretty close to fluent in French but the QC accent is a big deterrent to me, don't feel comfortable enough in my understanding of it to work somewhere i would be required to serve customers in French..

Well what jobs are you talking about? If it's face-to-face customer service, you're most likely running into a French-speaker. Phone, maybe you can work the English side.
Don't worry about your accent. As long as you do your best to make sense grammatically and put in the effort, most people won't care. You probably get bonus points for trying.
Drop it and get an iPhone or an Android if you don't mind tinkering. Seriously.

Since many seem down about the Habs and since there's not much to talk about these final days of the season, here's a vid that may cheer some of you up.
My fantasy team. Figured the regulars would get a kick out of it, considering my posting habits. My season record's bad but I squeezed into the semi's. Now if Toews get's back I can get to the finals easily.
