Long story short, I wear glasses and mine are broken. I need to buy a new set. I was wondering though, if I should stick to the smaller store I usually go to or to buy my glasses at farhat or scaff. I figure I pay around 300 or so for a new pair. Whereas scaff has 2 for 1 and farhat has 3 for 500(if you get the best lenses possible, if not, 300, or 200). My problem is I constantly end up breaking my glasses. Really. I have stupid family members. The ones that thing surprising me as I walk down the hallwall and bashing my face in with a pillow, while my glasses are on, is a good idea. Safe to say, I often have to repair my glasses or end up needing a new pair halfway through. So if anyone has experience with farhat or grieche & scaff, was it worth it, did you get a good deal?
I just been told (post draft) that PIMs are worth positives points in the fantasy league's total.
Why I asked why roughing, slashing, hooking, tripping, high-sticking etc... Is supposed to be a positive, I got the answer "all the leagues do it"
Since I know sophistry when I see one, I kept arguing to know why putting your team at a disadvantage is supposed to be good, until I got told to shut up.
I am open to arguments. Please tell me why dumb penalties are suppose to count as a positive. If you wanna reward tough play, why not count hits and blocked shots instead?

Blocked shots and hits are counted differently from arena to arena.
I agree completely...I think only fighting majors should count.
Last year...I had a weekly matchup that I was losing...until Dubinsky grabbed someone on the Oilers' bench and got a game misconduct. I couldn't believe such a stupid act actually won me the week.

I completely see where you're coming from, but PIMs are just a fun stat to put in there..It gives you the chance to add some goons to you're lineup like Downie Ott, ect. It just makes it more interesting and more strategical

Sometimes it shows that a player is active on the ice and hustling. it's arguable what kind of penalty the player taking of course. I just believe that football is the bar for fantasy and everything in that sport is counted. Its a sport that is heavily doused in stats which i find annoying.
So my guess is that this is a stat added to make tougher decisions when drafting. milan lucic might get 60 pts this year but his PIM minutes would put him over other 60 point players for example.
There are some custom leagues you can join that dont have this i believe.
That's actually a fair point against using Hits and Blocked Shots.
Still wondering why penalising your team is supposed to be good.
I used to think like that...but then I played in a league a few years ago that counted PIMs and I liked it a lot. It adds a different "dimension" to the players you draft - instead of loading up on 25 offensive players, you have to consider another factor. And then decide if a 50 point/100 PIM guy is worth more than a 70 point/20 PIM guy. Stuff like that.
For anyone who goes to Concordia, I just noticed today that a new A&W opened on Maisonneuve next to the BMO, Thai Express, Java U. I hadn't noticed it cause of all the construction on the street.
Anyways, gonna get me a burger and onion rings tomorrow

It was there since summer. Haven't eaten there yet, but they have a system to order your food on your own and someone will give it to you. Cool.
