McIlrath having a rough start to this game no doubt. Let's see if he can stabilize the rest of the game.

The Rangers look very good on their rushes. McIrlath made a very good play to break up the last attack by Dallas.

McIlrath with a good play there. Baby Rangers getting some bounces, who would have thought.

Was just going to post that. He had quite a rough first half of the period, but that was a GREAT play to first defuse a Dallas opportunity and then outlet to start the rush.

Rangers have done very well getting to the net and getting good shots on net. In both game so far.

Jack Campbell is giving up some big rebounds.

Nifty goal by McColgan

Most noticeable for me in the first period were JT Miller and Shane McColgan.

McColgan looks 1000x better than yesterday. St.Croix also had a few nice posessions.

Thomas has been failry invisible aside from that one laser that he put just above the crossbar early in the period.

I hope he actually shoots more and gets more tenacious... I was/am excited to see what he really has to offer

Miller thinks the game. The smaller Rangers forwards are trying to use their speed outside. Miller actually moves into areas where there is open ice. The difference between a first round pick and one who isn't. Hockey sense.

Hagelin and Erixon have been fairly invisible, too. Good thing for Erixon, imo.

One thing I noticed is that McIlrath loves stick checking and he is very good at breaking up plays with it.

Erixon, Yogan, Thomas, Hagelin, Parlett all looking really good so far.

McIlrath had a couple of bad shifts there, but as pointed out by others, made a great defensive play and then outlet pass for our third goal.

Yogan reminds me alittle of Dubi right now, in that he uses his body to protect the puck nicely and can then dish off a nice pass...

Thomas is seriously shifty and drives to the net.. more of the same from last night..

Excellent point. He uses his body along the boards but sticks primarily to stick checking in front. He is very good at it, but i think he may want to try and be little more physical in front of the net.

Also, has anyone else noticed that McIlrath seems to have some balance issues? It seems that when he hits or gets physically involved, i see him on one leg a lot.
