Pre-preseason discussion (Informal Skates, etc) - Kreider Skates w/ Rangers

The Rangers have held informal skates the past couple days. Looks like a very good turnout with 17 players skating yesterday and 21 today. Attendees include Callahan, Girardi, Rupp, Wolski, Del Zotto, Boyle, Anisimov, Eminger, Christensen, Stepan, McDonagh, Avery, Dubinsky, lundqvist, and Richards. Chris kreider is also skating before he heads back to school.

That's awesome. They need to get skating together ASAP as their beginning of their season is going to be a whirlwind....

Gabby doesn't show up until late because he is on a very strict and regimented training schedule back home every off-season. Lots of swimming and things like that to strengthen the smaller, less used muscles so he doesn't pull anything.

Damn.

Not that it's indicative of anything, but it would be great to get Gaborik and Richards together.

Sounds good to me.

I was just hoping Richards and Gabby would get together for a bit.

Guess that will have to wait till camp opens.

I think he normally shows up about a week or less before camp. It may be different this year but he is normally on a very strict work-out schedule where he really tries to work out a lot and take it easy to make sure he doesnt pull anything early on.

I'm really hoping Gaborik is excited about this season. He could have a HUGE season with Richards next to him.

I am sure he is excited to get it started so he can forget about last year.....

But I would rather him not skate hard for another 3 weeks and take it easy getting up to speed than just going all out.

Although Gaborik would be a good player for Kreider to meet.

I was told Kreider wanted no part of the rangers and that he was going to stay a 4th year of college (despite having no classes left to take) and then bolt, do you mean to say I was mislead?
