Bruins - Coyotes

Hey, it's my first proposal, so be generous.

We all know that Bruins have troubles signing Marchand, just like Coyotes with Turris. 4 millions for Kyle or Brad is simply too much and I really like both players. I know this is 5124 Turris's thread but I'm sure Pheonix fans don't mind if return is good.

So my deal is:

Brad Marchand
+
Zach Hamill

for

Kyle Turris
+
Nick Ross
+
pick [3rd]?

Marchand is an exciting player to watch and I'm fairly sure that people will love him in AZ. He has 25-25 potential + agitating ability. Zach Hamill could replace Turris minutes in regular season (he didn't look out of place in his stint in NHL). I'm fairly confident that he is ahead of Ross in terms of development.

Turris could really benefit from Bergeron and Krejci. I'm fairly sure that he could love Boston's atmosphere and would love playing there. Kelly and Seguin could play wing and Krejci-Bergeron-Turris combo would be lethal in a few years. Ross is written off in Phoenix but Boston doesn't have good D prospects in AHL. He could use change of scenery just like Hamill.

Sorry for poor English.

I think Boston says no to this offer for a few reasons. They are one of the deepest teams in the league at center and as soon as Seguin is ready to move back to center, anchoring the 3rd line is his spot. We need a 2nd line winger if anything and Brad Marchand happens to be on the other side of that line. Most importantly, if we refuse to overpay a proven playoff performer, than why would we overpay Kyle Turris?

The Yotes can have Hamill for free though.

I don't know who Nick Ross is.

This is Marchand for Turris with lame sweeteners. I say no way from a Bruins standpoint, I bet Phoenix fans would reject it as well.

Don't think Boston does this. Phoenix might think about it.

Hey, thanks for responses even if they weren't I was expecting.

I thought that Boston is better with someone like Turris than another futures. Turris is def. NHL player. The same could be said about Coyotes. I'm sure that two teams will keep their players, but in case of emergency... Boston has depth at wings, most of centres can play wing like Seguin, Kelly, Peverley. Marchand's loss wouldn't be that big.

And Hamill isn't as bad as some people say. One year ago, there were people arguing that Marchand isn't NHL material, or just another 4th liner.

Maybe Pyatt instead of Ross and pick? He can score 15-20 per season with no PP time.

Not a fan of Turris and wouldn't give up anything of major value for him if his demands are true. I am not opposed to dealing Marchand, but we could get better.

It wouldn't break my heart if the Bruins got Turris. He looked like the real deal in the playoffs last year against Detroit.

Probably have to do it from a Phoenix standpoint. Don't want to, but this Turris situation is ridiculous.

Bruins acquire a center?? Really?

I thought Krejci Bergeron Seguin was more than suitable.

it's Krejci, Bergeron, Seguin, Kelly, Campbell, Peverley, Caron. So No Boston does not need another center.

Perhaps Marchand is the reason why Marchand isn't signed yet?

As much as it would suck watching him get traded, if he's pricing himself out of Boston, then Chiarelli might as well find out what he's worth on the open market.

Perhaps a roster player & 1st round pick from a cellar team? Edmonton, Florida, Winnipeg, Islanders?

Turris for Marchand??? Just how quickly can Phoenix do this deal? Hell, I'll even pay the airfare from Phoenix to Boston. No way Boston does this deal. Have you seen Turris play? The kid gets pushed around like a 3rd grader on a high school playground. I'd even throw in a 2nd for 2012.

Marchand would probably be the only forward that could match Doan's energy night in and night out. Turris made strides in the playoffs but he doesn't appear to be fitting in the PHX future plans.

Boston has no incentive though; they could get better for Marchand if they want to trade him.

from the other threads I get the feeling that Coyote fan want to get rid of Turris, I can't really blame you.

Kyle Turris
Center
Born Aug 14 1989 -- New Westminster, BC
Height 6.01 -- Weight 185 -- Shoots R

Selected by Phoenix Coyotes round 1 #3 overall 2007 NHL Entry Draft
Regular Season

2010-11 Phoenix Coyotes NHL 65 11 14 25 16 0
2010-11 San Antonio Rampage AHL 2 0 1 1 2

There is NO way Boston is going to trade Marchand after that rookie season
2010-11 Boston Bruins NHL 77 21 20 41 51 25
2010-11 Playoffs NHL 25 11 8 19 40

I wouldn't mind taking a shot on Turris but not at the price of Marchand.

Poulit-Turris-Seguin could be an interesting 3rd line with a ton of potential. At the same time I would be scared these guys would turn Seguin into a disappoint as well. Haha

Maybe for lotto picks that can help win games on the way to the cup. Draft picks that have yet to pan out and are rumored to have ridiculous contract demands and a third rounders don't fit the bill.

Guess that all depends on your idea of "quality".

We tend not to make Missing posters for our quality players.
