Good money then for the upset. If I had any cash, I'd drop $20 or so on Page.

Main Card:
Jon Jones (c) vs. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson - pure homer pick here, just like in any other sport I can't bring myself to pick against a favorite of mine. 4th rd. TKO.
Matt Hughes vs. Josh Koscheck - 2nd TKO
Ben Rothwell vs. Mark Hunt - It was nice to see Hunt get a big win in the UFC but he simply can't compete at this level any longer. Rothwell via submission due to Hunt having NO ground game.
Nate Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi - taking Gomi here on a hunch, Diaz has never looked good at 155 & he loves to stand and trade, which will be his undoing.
Travis Browne vs. Rob Broughton - Browne by destruction.

Preliminary Card (Spike TV)
Tony Ferguson vs. Aaron Riley
Nick Ring vs. Tim Boetsch

Preliminary Card:
Junior Assunção vs. Eddie Yagin
Takeya Mizugaki vs. Cole Escovedo
James Te Huna vs. Ricardo Romero

I couldn't help but get hung up on Jones while watching the video. He continues to strike me as incredibly phony. Now, before someone yells at me about "being a journalist" and how I'm not supposed to have opinions; I'm a blogger, not a journalist and my job is to speak honestly.
Ouch. Brookhouse straight up ripped jones.

The more I hear Jones speak, the less I like him.

There's nothing to like about him. He's a cocky, phony, unlikeable guy.

I watched Kimmel last night, and I didn't really see this Jones "phoniness" that people are pushing.. again.

He's not as personable as Rampage, and doesn't appear to be overly comfortable in front of the bright lights yet. But he's still young and this has all happened so fast for him.

If anything, he comes off as a bit dorky and straight-laced. But phony? Not really.

He very well could be phony since I've never met the guy, but people are going to need better examples than this. This just came across as a very young guy sitting in between one of the funniest guys on TV and one of the best personalities in MMA.

Anyways, the haters will always be out there. I'm a big fan of both guys so hopefully they put on a good fight Saturday night.

Nothing would knock him off his high horse quicker than being KO'd by Rampage, if only it wasn't so unlikely....

That being said, I don't know if he is a "phony", but he certainly is far too cocky for someone so new to the sport.

Tell me why it's wrong to be proud of what you have accomplished and to like yourself ?

There's a difference between being open and proud about your accomplishments, and trying to hide your massive ego behind a thin 'good guy' veil. Anyone that refers to themselves in the third person usually needs an attitude adjustment

The segment on Kimmel was actually quite entertaining. I think what's adding to Jones' negative perception following the show is that he happens to find himself on with one of the most likable guys in the sport. Jones seems stiff in general, but it's really amplified next to Rampage. As for whether or not he comes off as phony, IMO he does. Now I obviously have no idea as to whether or not he is, but I definitely see how people feel that way. You feel like you're getting a very controlled version of him. Maybe he's nervous, maybe he doesn't want to say the wrong thing, but it's definitely there. Bloodyelbow has a piece from Snowden today explaining that Jones isn't well received because he doesn't have the "Joe Everyguy" thing going for him because he's such a physical freak. I don't think that's the problem. Jordan wasn't Joe Everyguy and everyone loved him. People don't like Jones because he just doesn't have a personality that's terribly likable, it's really as simple as that.

Seemed like Jones was getting under Rampage's skin a bit during the press conference. He kept interupting Rampage when he was trying to answer a question and even brought up the loss to Forrest Griffin.

Rampage was clearly pissed and said, "I'm talking right now so you need to shut your young ass up". Jones responded with, "Sorry sir".

Press conference starts at the 27:30 mark.....

Want Rapmage and Hughes to win, but Kos and Jones probably will.

Only other fight im excited for is the Nate Diaz fight.

His record doesn't tell the whole story, he's a former K1 champion. Also beat Wanderlei and CC in their prime

Record is not of importance, he has a fanbase and is fun to watch. Also, Zuffa had to give him a fight because it was owed to them as part of his Pride contract which they bought in 2007. They bought it, wouldn't give him a fight, and made him sit for a year and a half, then he went to Dream and lost a bunch of fights against three good fighters...eventually they had to give him a fight, and he lost. They gave him another one in Australia and he gave Tuchscherer a big KTFO. Outside of one guy there is nothing wrong with any of his losses.

Looks like my main man Gomi's getting some love in the picks. I'm not so confident but I'm still picking him anyways.
