Because Ottawa goes through coaches like a hooker goes through condoms.

Fair argument.

However, Ottawa is usually vying to be a contender. I think they have realized the folly of running through coaches at the pace they did before and will take a new approach this time out.

If the Leafs miss the playoffs this year I would bet my house that Wilson will be fired. He's definitely got low job security right now.

The correct answer is the man who used to be in my avatar (Lindy Ruff).

Pegula loves him like a son

It's gotta be Trotz. He's the reason why the Predators are consistently good with so little. Imagine what he could do if the Preds started paying to the cap.

DeBoer.

Can Lou really fire another coach before the season is over?

1. Babcock
2. Bylsma
3. Trotz
4. Ruff
5. Quenneville

Babcock is as safe as you can get. No way he leaves unless he wants to.
Pretty much the same goes for Bylsma right now.
Trotz constantly does a lot with not much, so I'd say his job is pretty safe.
Ruff's tenure is amazing, but the Sabres are very solid this season and if for some reason they faulter, his job wouldn't necessarily be at jeopardy, but some questions may be asked.
I added Quenneville simply because I wanted to make it the Top 5. He's a solid coach with a cup win.

Can anyone imagine a universe where Regier fires Ruff?

EDIT: I think the odds are better that Ruff fires Regier and assumes command.
