Smith or Desharnais?

So basically we have our first waiver draft of the year tonight in my keeper league. Thanks to some wonderfully under performing players like Bobby Ryan, Krecji, and a bunch of others I get to pick first. I have a desperate need for center thanks to injuries and the question is as in the topic.

I haven't followed the Preds at all this year and just wondering what the thoughts are on Smith. I have a good idea what Desharnais is all about.

You may wonder why I'm not thinking of LEgwand....I've had him and just don't believe his pace will keep up.

I think Smith is a special player ... he's produced thus far and he's not an 18 year old ... he's a 22 rookie out of college who handled himself pretty well at the World Championships this last Spring

I'd take Smith, and easily. Might be the most dynamic offensive player we've drafted since Radulov.

I like to hear those things about a player. Thanks.

Still embarrassed I'm picking first....16 years of this pool and I've never ever, not even for day, been in last place (I've never finished lower than 5th). And I'm solidly in last.

Well pick up Smith. So far he's doing very well.

If you're dead set on a center, just know that Smith will be spending most of his time on the wing. You will, however, be getting a player with 1st line minutes.
