Predict the Standings

What do you think each conference will look like at the end of the season?

My guess:

WEST

1. Vancouver
2. Nashville
3. Los Angeles
4. Minnesota
5. San Jose
6. Chicago
7. St. Louis
8. Detroit
------------------
9. Edmonton
10. Colorado
11. Phoenix
12. Anaheim
13. Calgary
14. Dallas
15. Columbus

EAST

1. Pittsburgh
2. Boston
3. Washington
4. Rangers
5. Philadelphia
6. Carolina
7. Ottawa
8. Tampa Bay
---------------
9. Buffalo
10. Florida
11. Winnipeg
12. New Jersey
13. Toronto
14. Islanders
15. Montreal

I would predict the standings but since EDM is the only team I care about, I predict they finish 7th. Bold, I know. Believe it or not if they don't finish 7th I predict they'll be higher.

I'll roll with this.

1. St. Louis
2. Phoenix
3. Vancouver
4. Minnesota
5. Los Angeles
6. Nashville
7. Edm
8. Chicago
9. Detroit
11. Flames - Because they'll finish high enough not to get a top 5 pick.

St. Louis and Nashville can't finish 1 and 2 in the standings since they're both in the same division.

LA had a pretty mediocre season last year, their team is built for the playoffs not the season, so I see them having a slow start and missing the post season.

Edmonton will hopefully get a big jump out of the gate and hold on for a playoff berth.

Dallas will surprise a lot of people this year.

St. Louis is still a force to be reckoned with come regular season.

I am not sure about Vancouver, I put them at 2nd but I could easily see them finishing in the bottom 8 with all the questions marks this year..

Hey, there's a lot of hype on the main board for us making the playoffs. I really think it's the year we make a major push for it.

1. Los Angeles
2. St. Louis
3. Minnesota
4. Chicago
5. Dallas
6. Vancouver
7. Edmonton
8. Detroit
------
9. Nashville
10. San Jose
11. Phoenix
12. Calgary
13. Colorado
14. Columbus
15. Anaheim

I think Dallas has a good team this year if they get Benn signed.

Eriksson - Benn - Jagr
Whitney - Roy - Ryder

One of the best top 6's in the league IMO.

You do not have them moving up a single spot. Why do you even bother watching? It has to be more than just getting ammunition to attack Lowe and Gagner.

Not gonna bother with the entire NHL, but i will predict that the oilers will end up around 26-23 Anything better than that will be super.

IT's called cognitive dissonance.

Predicting the standings in a 48 game sprint is so pointless. None of these standings are going to be close to right.

My guess though: Someone stupid makes the playoffs (maybe us, yay!) and Detroit doesn't.
