No RNH, I was wondering if he might get in because of the injuries. Probably good for him to take the day off and rest before main camp opens up.

Reinhart, Holland, Baertschi, Martin, Negrin, Jackson, and Brodie playing for a third time for CGY tonight.

Holland - Reinhart - Baertschi will be the Flamers top line.

Don't know anything about Holland but IIRC Reinhart had a good year in junior and Baertschi is a talented kid and is the Flames top prospect. Brodie was good last year as well.

I've been waiting quite a while for an excuse to post Flames prospect Mitch Wahl's photo:

If I was a prospect for the Flames, I'd have a pretty fake smile too.

With a total unknown in goal, I don't know how anyone could be throwing out predictions. Quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if they lose this based on how lackadaisical they became against the Jets and the kinds of saves Bunz ended up having to make.

Lander will nice to watch, though.

He looks a little plastic.

Reminds me of this album cover:

Without RNH in the lineup there is no way the opposition can claim that Edmonton's prospect group should be the best considering the draft picks we get. I've heard this mentioned a couple times now and outside of RNH I don't see it. Klefbom isn't playing so our top picks are really 31st overall in this game.

There are draft picks from other years here... Who's to say RNH is the best player on the ice when some of these men are over 20 years old?

The comments that bugged me were how the Oilers are expected to have a superior prospect team based solely on their past few years of draft order. I think it was Sutter being interviewed in the first game and then someone from Winnipeg last night who specifically mentioned this. No respect for the very solid 2nd and 3rd rounds picks which is pretty much the whole team.

Dont see the need for starting Brown. Hopefully he gets half a game and Roy gets another look.

I'll be watching D.Musil very closely today. Might sound crazy with RNH, Lander etc on the squad but to me this kid looks the most NHL ready among the Oilers in this tourney.

Yeah not to familiar with Holland. Agree with everything else. Reinhart beasted the playoffs and used them as his coming out party. IIRC, he had a 5-goal game. Sick. Good hard working player with good bloodlines. Brodie was pretty dynamic offensively last preseason.
