initial impressions: Edmonton is a bit inconsistent on defence but the forwards are always there to help and regularly clog up the middle lanes...their skill and nose for the net is obvious
The flames' group has a real solid cycle game and gets good pressure outside the centre-area of the net...but they NEVER have anyone in the middle of the ice to catch juicy rebounds. Clearly they don't have guys with the anticipation or skill to get to the right places for some pretty huge 2nd chances.
Of course the Oilers have their worst showing (so far) against the Flames.
they dressed easily their least skill combination so far of the tournament against a flames' group that is probably a lot older and more seasoned...and with a few guys that seem to have played together before.
