He was solid against Vancouver IIRC. Whichever game was last for Calgary.

It becomes very obvious just how Elite RNH's passing skills are when watching the rest of our prospects.

Good replacement for Rajala, who hasn't been impressive since Brandon.

this group is missing the "grease". RNH, Fedun and Martindale were making things happen through their speed, transition, skill and intelligence. Without it, the oilers aren't getting the ball rolling as fast nor as often.

Rajala really doesn't like to pass. I noticed it last game.

Rajala has had some very strong backchecks that he's turned around into decent scoring chances on his own. It's not consistent, but the skill is there.

The D on paper has 7 solid players and top 6 up front looks better then the first 2 games.

The oilers are doing more to stop the flames from getting their cycle going. More bodies in the lanes and more turnovers...but they need a little more assertion once they get the puck back.

Cornet's nothing special, Musil and Marincin are still real raw. No Fedun, marindale, RNH, Bunz/Roy...it's not as good of a group.

I also think there's a bit of a fatigue factor. With Martindale, Kyntar, Ewanyk and Teubert not playing in this tourney because of injury several guys are playing an extra game.

Heady play by Hamilton and a bomb by Pitlick, good on them for coming through when we needed them to.
