Nice to see that you still watch hockey, I thought most of you had gone back to soccer again.
Not really sure what to make of our team so far, we've really only had one or two good games, but still been able to snag a lot of points. We're actually better defensively this season but sometimes it's like we've lost the ability to even make a simple pass.
Joacim Eriksson is really giving Hadelöv a run for his money this season. Seems to have made some major improvements over the summer, you can hardly recognise him from last year.
A bit disappointed with Oscar Lindberg though, he hasn't been able to bump back to his preseason-game at all since his injury.
I expect something along the line with Bertilssons suspension, 7 or 8 games. How many 10+ games suspensions has there been in the league ever? Not many. I don't agree with the opinion that it's the worst hit this season, but it does hit the head and has huge impact, plus it results in an injury. That's why it should be +5 games, but as usual media has no relation to the disciplinary boards rules when they speculate in punishments.
The worst part of it was that he took aim from the red line at the other side of the ice, as soon as Kahnberg got tangled up. Compared to Bertilsson who took a bad split second decision to hit a guy who missed the puck.
Also feel ashamed that the arena personnel didn't take precautionary measures and protected Karlsson on his way off the ice. Obviously also ashamed of the fans that threw stuff...
Whats the difference between this hit, and the Cooke-Savard one? Cooke didn't get any suspension. Of course Karlsson should be suspended, and it should be around 8 games, but people and journalists are saying that he should be suspended the whole season? Cmon.... If anyone care to answer my first question, because i really dont know what the difference is.

The NHL didn't have the headshot rule in place at the time of the Cooke-Savard hit.
They gotta set the standard here with this. It needs to stop.

Come on, don't go all holier than thou now. Not everyone is used to have to stay as calm as you guys down in the scorekeepers' box. They had the plastic tunnel out and ready, Karlsson chose not to enter.
Am I the only one who didn´t think Karlsson did this on purpose? There was an ugly outcome of the hit and he deserves a suspension for it but I think Karlsson aimed for the body and hit Kahnberg in the head by accident. Maybe i´m naive, but i think most tackles like this happen by a combination of clumsiness and accident, not an intention to injure.
I think you can prevent this from happening as often as it does today but these tackles will never go away, thats the consequense of todays entertaining fast paced game.

Absolutely not. He knows Magnus very well, and they are ex-teammates, so i don't see why he would wanna do this. Obvisously its just bad luck.
I Think that diciplinnämnden should make videos of their decisions like the way nhl does with Shanahan instead of giving as a cheap ass press release. Id give him 13 - 15 games but i belive he will only get like 6-8 games.

Fully agreed I'd rather see the more physical defensiv minded type of hockeygame again instead of a fast paced one with serious injuries.
I don't think Karlsson did it on purpose but the outcome was horrible, so yes he should be suspended for it. Don't think he is an repeat offender so I'm guessing something like 2 (with a heavily fine) or 10 games.
20 games would send the right message but won't happen.
