Game Day Threads

Game Day Threads are what makes the world go round here on hfboards. Nothing beats game day and nothing beats signing in and seeing a great looking and informative thread for everyone to gather in.

A lot of boards have an official GDT maker. If anyone is interested in being the go-to guy or girl here on the Jets board, shoot me a PM and we'll pencil you in for a game.

If you want to be inspired, check out some of the work from previous years on other boards. Many of them are fantastic.

I called the opening night GDT in a completely unrelated thread months ago. If that's not legit enough I don't know what is.

Just to be clear, people are going to audition for the job in the preseason and the best one will get the job heading into the season.

We will also pick a couple of backups in case our lead guy can't do it for some reason.

Lynk if you want to do opening night you are more than welcome to put your name in for the gig.

Why not just set up a thread where anyone can volunteer for any game.
This isnt graphic arts class.

We decided to do it this way based on experiences from other forums. It works much better for quality, and less problems.

That might be a good idea too wpgsilver. We can see who wants do do it and what they would like to do. It might take some workload off of one person too.

I think that'd be a good idea too. Divide up the games and when one can't do one, the others can decide who will cover for it.

The Habs forum works on a volunteer 1st come 1st serve and worked fine.

I'm just not up for the auditioning thing, I would normally just do it if it hit 1am of gameday and nothing was posted.

I probably wouldn't work well on a schedule.
