Dammit Teemu. I have been watching the last regular season home game two years in a row so that I could say "I was at Teemu's last (RS) game at Honda Center." He's denied me twice. It's unlikely I'll be in town next season.
Congrats Ducks fans. As someone who picked this game 1st overall in my Jets season tickets draft, I did so anticipating the return of the Finnish Flash. The cheer he will receive in Winnipeg on the 17th of December is going to blow the roof off the MTS Centre.

A little off tangent, but do you think the KHL crash may have helped make Teemu's decision to play a game that those players now don't have a chance to play? Considering that one of those players, Rusty, was a team mate. Could be his tribute to play for those guys as well.

It will be. Probably the second biggest game here this season, second only to the regular season home opener. Jets fans have a standing ovation or two waiting for him. Teemu was always a class act when he was here. I remember seeing him a few times around the city, and he was very courteous to everyone that approached him. I don't think he ever turned down anyone for an autograph. It's going to be great seeing him on the ice, even if it's on the opposing team. Even though I'm a Jets fan, I'd love to see Teemu pot a few goals while he's here.
Congrats... Teemu is such a great guy I am happy for you guys. And happy for myself. Lets hope he puts Jagr in his place and gets the record for most European goals

I think that is just your emotions speaking now. I think all the friends of those players will have their own way of appreciating and honoring them. But this is, i think, just Teemu having "one more" year left in him.
I keep thinking of the scene in the Hangover when they're gonna get "Doug" and they keep saying "WE'RE GONNA GET DOUG BACK".... except I picture it as RPG in the car and they're saying "WE'RE GETTING TEEMU BACK!!!!!"
