I see it the other way around. Management has seen what Loktionov is capable of and are now waiting to see if Parse can turn it around before the trip to Europe, because he hasn't been anything close to decent as of yet.

I'm assuming just the exhibition game.

Yup I hope he stays motivated and he better be the first call-up when someone gets hurt. Then again TM will probably want King instead

I would think DL did, especially seeing what happened to Hollaway and Moller.

I called this months ago. Lewis was the #4 center and Stoll #3. Maybe next year for Loki when Stoll leaves.

I think they'll eventually move Parse to create room for Lokti.

Or at least, I hope they do.

BTW, why is Dwight King still here...he does nothing at the NHL level...he didn't score, hit or fight in his brief stay with the Kings. If they want a scrappy big body, they should've kept Nolan.

I think you've just answered your own question. Maybe they're still hoping King will showcase his physical aspect of his game. Clearly, he's further along than Nolan as far as development is concerned.

So with Loki to Manchester and Hunter signing, that pretty much means Parse is playing for his job tonight right? I mean other than showcase him for a trade, or motivate him (ie. get him to pull his head out his...) why would they put him on the 1st line? Especially confusing when you look at the rest of the lineup and see that the forwards are almost all of the lines we'll see during the regular season...

I think more showcasing than anything else.

Heck, even if he does well on the first line, I really don't see the kings keeping him there on permanent basis.

I think his days as a king is over, regardless of how he does for the rest of the preseason.

But the way you show that is by doing it in a game, and that's an option that King hasn't been given and wont be again tonight... If that's what they expect of him then it seems to me he should be given a chance to prove he belongs and can play that role in a game and he isn't so his presence is still baffling to me...

Well, he is a big body and he can fight. And like I said, he is more developed than someone like Nolan.

It's somewhat of a head scratcher, but I'm willing to see where this goes.

So Parse and Drewiske didn't go on waivers

Sept 26

Cam Paddock

Nice size, been playing in the DEL so likely a grit signing for EU. He was a Pen draft pick way back in 01 or something like that then bounced around the whl ahl and spen 16 games in the NHL with the blues where he picked up 2 goals and 1 assist and went -4. He can hit and skate alright but must be just a temp or tryout.

Not yet. Watch the Islanders claim Tikhonov.

Those are some crazy names on waivers. Wish we could claim Tikhonov. It's crazy to see how Parent has fallen.
