Does anyone know if Paul Gaustad and Patrick Kaleta will be ready to go tonight against the New York Rangers...

LetsGoAmerks was reporting that Colin Stuart wasn't with the team on the way to Glens Falls.

So, assuming that Leino takes one of the spots back that was lost, that would probably mean no Gaustad/Kaleta.

Correct. Stuart is a center and would take Hecht's spot.

From Hamilton's preview

Quote:
Ville Leino returns from suspension, but Corey Tropp is now out with a head injury and Jochen Hecht had trouble even walking after blocking a shot and he’s out. Lindy Ruff said Tropp’s not doing well while Hecht is short term. That brings up Amerks captain Colin Stuart. He has eight goals and nine assists in 24 games.
I wonder if they thought about bringing up Finley and dressing 7 D.

This is getting silly.

However, the fact that this team hasn't sunk to the bottom of the league is a testament to the drafting and development system.

The guys coming up seem well prepared for the NHL.

Stuart isn't a center. He played on the LW of the Szczechura-Kassian line in Rochester. I would imagine he will be on the LW of the 4th line, centered by Ellis and opposite Cody.

Correct, Hecht is short term per WGR550.

Code:
Lindy Ruff said Tropp’s not doing well while Hecht is short term.

I'd think that Gaustad and Kaleta are possible, but last I knew, Weber was "still a ways away".

Did we even know what is wrong with Weber? The secrecy of injuries in the NHL is laughable.

He's such a big boost to the team when he's healthy. He's the type of player we are lacking. Too bad he's always injured. He's taking connollys spot.

Does Szczechura count to start the season in our totals because he wasn't assigned to Rochester then?

You can add Legault to that as well. I think Morrisonn also missed a game or two earlier in the year. Sydlowski missed a few games, but not sure if it was injury or benching (conflicting reports).

Mike Weber has been cleared to play for #Sabres while Patrick Kaleta feels the healthiest he has been since injury and might play Tuesday

Please for the love of god sit Mags.

Interesting that Weber is cleared, considering the fact that he was "a ways away" according to Ruff recently.
Hopefully he finds his game quickly so we can sit MAG.
