Jock short cup sizing?

So I have one of those Powertek mesh shorts with the jock and cup sewn in, however I can't skate with the jock straps on as it pulls the cup too close to my taint, giving me pain in that area everytime I really need to stretch or cross my legs. I always end up wearing it without using the straps, just leaving the cup loose against my junk. I worry if that's not a good idea or if there's way to fix the pain. I wear a small size, btw,, since I've got a pretty small waist too...

You could try out another brand if you have the money to spare. I use Shock Doctor's jock, ordered from icewarehouse and it fits great.

Ideally you want something that fits comfortably and doesn't shift around all over the place.

Is it just that the straps are too short? That would be a pretty easy fix if you just got some similar elastic and added some length to them.

No worries, those straps will come unsown quickly anyways and you have a cup flopping in the wind anyways....

I have repaired mine so often...
