Most lots were between $6-$10 for the Moose, I didn't see anywhere less than $6. Portage Place I suppose is $5 but that's a short walk away. I think $10 might be a minimum for indoor parking, slightly less for outdoor but at least $8. Probably concert level pricing (meaning $7-$8 unsheltered).
If you're able to, I'd just grab some change and take the bus.
I was thinking about it....
I have a bus pass for work every weekday
but to take the 44 home after a game doesnt get me home until between 11:30-12am
I need to be up at 4:45 to go to work....

So the 10 bucks for parking might be worth it...
Yeah, in that case I'd splurge for the parking. In my case I'm just down Pembina so it's only a 10-15 minute ride.
ST holder in P5. We have been to many events at the MTS Centre but none that were sold out. When do you guys expect the lots close to MTS to fill-up tomorrow? We are driving in from out of city and I'd rather get there early than spend time hunting for a spot. Any advice!
I plan on taking the bus to games. Don't feel like dealing with traffic downtown..
Never found traffic to be a problem for Moose games. Always parked at Wpg Square. Once you out of the lot, didn't take much to get out of downtown to get to the 'burbs.
May be a different story if you park closer to MTSC, don't know.

traffic in winnipeg is nothing, sorry guys. i mean yes, there will be a little traffic, but really how much time will it add to your commute, maybe 5 minutes for a 30 to 40 minute commute tops. living in the rok (seoul area) has put traffic into prospective for me. the traffic you have to deal with when you live in a place that isn't as big as the 20 - 30 million people who live here is nuts. luckily the public transportation here is excellent when leaving a sporting game, usually if you give it a few minutes you can get a good seat on the subway or on a bus. plus when you live here transit times of over an hour to go from one part of the city to another are common and you get used to it. i don't think it should be too bad for jets games, compared to that, and the parking prices shouldn't be too bad either, especially considering what you are paying your parking price to go see. enjoy every game you get to go to and let's keep this thing going for years. go jets go!
No one else has lived in the seoul area. Most have probably only lived in Winnipeg. So our idea of traffic is not the same as traffic on the Rok.
Find a surface lot, or park at portage place or city place. Even commerce square or te library isn't bad either.
yes, but my point is that traffic, even heavy traffic is not that bad in winnipeg, especially when you compare it other cities, where big traffic is big problem. certainly when i get back, the traffic will never dissuade me from driving to the game, especially in the middle of winter, when it gets really cold. i was just trying to put the traffic thing into perspective. with relatively short commute times, i don't think it should be a problem. go jets go!!!
Just got home. $8.00 up a buck from last year. Beer and food up a bit also. It was expected though. I paid $23.00 for 2 beer at the Staples Center a couple years ago. Parking in Van is $20.00.
I paid $8 tonight at Winnipeg Square, it was $4 for Moose game day parking last year. Getting out of the parkade and onto Portage Ave after to head home was really easy though, I'd say it was well worth it. I would definitely look at getting an Impark season parking pass for "as low as $50 per month" if I were a season ticket holder, seems like a great idea.

Why on earth would you park in van when you have a skytrain that drops you off at the front doors pretty much..
I parked on Garry Street beside the old post office building that I do for concerts and Moose games. Still free after 5:30pm. Smith Street same but spots were full. Also the Windsor Hotel is free and had spots open at 6pm.
