I nominate changing the value of Faceoffs Won to 0.10 down from 0.25.

my only concern is that since this is being adjusted after the draft anyone who factored it in, like myself, will be killed by the point adjustment if it negates the faceoff advantage all together, but I may be the only one who saw it in advanced and adjusted their draft for it.

I would be fine with it being adjusted to .1, even though It hurts my team pretty badly. At least it evens things out some.

i'm sure we can come up with a balanced change to make everyone happy, maybe going .13 on faceoffs so each 3 wins is .1 point extra over .1 would be.

so 10 face off wins at .13 is 1.3pts, if you win 20 its 2.6, under current system 10 wins is 2.5 pts, 20 wins is like scoring 5 goals.

so is 1.3 acceptable or is that still too high?

like i said i will listen to all opinions i want all of us to have fun and i would prefer not to be beaten with a rusty pipe because i made someone unhappy and i do want a fun league to participate in.

I'd be OK changing FW down a bit. Everything else should stay as is.

Usually I wouldn't be, however in this case the issue is so extreme that it may cause a couple people to not fully participate. We don't have to move it way down, and certainly shouldn't eliminate it, but the degree of the issue is just so great. Glancing at some of the teams that aren't mine, here are excerpts from some that might be scraping the bottom of the barrel:

McDangles - Malkin, Kovalchuk, Quick, Sharp
Becoming Wils - M. Richards, D. Sedin, Ward, Weber
Riser's B Squad - Datsyuk, Skinner, Parise, Pietrangelo, Clowe

Barring some miracles, these teams look like they'll be tough pressed to finish in the top half of the league, even though they're not bad teams by any reasonable measure. I'd probably include your team in this grouping as well actually.

Even if we only reduce the values by 0.05 (making it 0.20/FW) it would make the league far more competitive, which is good for everyone.

I vote for the adjustment too. Anything if we get a new draft...

I'm going to be out of the country for a few days starting tomorrow, I vote for any change that involves reducing FW to something in the range of 0.10-0.20

so what would everyone say to reducing the Face off win points from

.25 to .125 half of the original? this way a guy who wins 15 face offs gets 1.875 pts which is quite reasonable

yay or nay

please provide a different amount if you think some other amount is better

I'm with you. Any league that has Steve Ott, Antoine Vermette and Jarret Stoll as 3 of its top 10 most valuable players needs its scoring adjusted. I'd be fine with going down to .125.

Hey I'm OK with Stoll being that Valuable

But seriously .125 sounds fine.

Yeah, totally up for lowering the faceoff percentage, didn't even notice that. P.S. I'm Becoming Wils. Meant to be Becoming Wild and can't figure out how to change it... lol

I was so happy to see the production i could get from Ott after the draft, though......

LOL, Jk, reducing the FOW to half is cool, it helps put more emphasis on things done after the puck is dropped.

did lower it to .125 in retrospect it was a bad idea didn't think it through, its sad that winning 12 faceoffs under the old system meant you got 3 pts where a guy needs to score a hat trick to equal that.

also under my team tab, you'll see team settings there you can change your name

looking forward to this please if anyone has anything to bring up do so, as i've said i would like all of us to have fun

ott will still get good points remember you get rewarded for things like hits and such

sorry about it tho i really should have just made it .10 from the start but its .125 now so its a bit more balanced

I start Horton over Chris Neil (not a bold move by any means).
Horton is -.3
Neil has 6.3 pts.

wtf.

It's a league that counts both hits and PIM's....Neil is almost an every day player.

Wow, neither I nor sprinkles set our rosters before heading to Vancouver, and her goalies just rocked the place this week. Reimer put up 13.40 points in two games and Miller had 9.50 in two. I think my bench scored at least 30 points...

This is my first time doing a Head-to-Head league.....do you have to use the same players throughout the whole week, or can you set your line-up day-to-day?
