OK - now that Morin played his first game since last January - and scored a goal to boot, and now that Beach has scored a goal in each of the first three IceHog games, and now that Saad scored a goal in the first game with Saginaw ... I'm going to take a big swig of Hawk Koolaid and post two more day dream lineups.

2011/12 end of season / playoff lineup:

Brunette-Toews-Morin
Sharp-Kane-Hossa
Bickell-Bolland-Frolik
Carcillo-Smith-Stalberg
(Mayers)

Keith-Leddy
Hjalmarsson-Seabrook
Lepisto-Montador
(O'Donnell/Scott)

Crawford
(Emery)

2012/13 lineup:

Saad-Toews-Morin
Sharp-Kane-Hossa
Bickell-Bolland-Frolik
Beach-Kruger-Stalberg
(Pirri/Smith)

Keith-Leddy
Hjalmarsson-Seabrook
Olsen-Montador
(Lavin)

Crawford
(Salak)

I hate long term future lineups. Do we really think the Hawks won't pick up ANYONE in FA???

This is pretty much what I want our lineup to be next month

Morin-Toews-Hossa
Carcillo-Kane-Sharp
Bickell-Bolland-Frolik
Brunette-Smith-Mayers

Keith-Seabrook (can we go back to this already please)
Leddy - Hammer
O'Donnell - Montador

Carcillo/Brunette would take a couple of shifts on each other's line, but I like Carcillo's ability to actually keep up with the play on the top six.

My PP units (1A/1B approach)
Sharp-Kane-Brunette-Seabrook-Leddy
Bolland-Toews-Hossa-Montador-Keith

If we're going for players who aren't likely to get traded, we should shoot for Ladd. I think I'd be okay with giving up Morin for him.

Well to be fair, Tuomo is UFA this upcoming summer. I wouldn't mind renting him for Morin+2nd/3rd.

There's no way I would give up Morin for a rental, especially one with a history of injuries. Right now Morin is our top-6 prospect closest to being NHL ready. I'd rather have Morin than Ruutu and hopefully Morin gets called up and shows he's ready.

too much for Ruutu. I would welcome him back and think he would fit here very good.

Morin is too much. Give them Rensfeldt and a Pick and they will take it. Or Pirri alone.

I apologize to all I have offended for offering a prospect who hasn't yet proven himself in the NHL for a proven NHL player who would fit in nicely.

Thank you sir

Why should you trade a prospect like Morin for a Rental like Ruutu? The best way to stay a contender every year is to have a strong prospect Pool. You see where the Leafs are. They always traded away their Picks/Prospects. They are the best example of how you don't do it.

And for Ruutu, Rensfeldt and a 2nd should be the best offer they get. It's not like he is Iggy.

I think we can sacrifice one LW as we have another who MAY be ready after this season. Saad.

But i understand your thinking and will go along with it.

I'd love to rent Shane Doan, but what did you give up for him? Picks? Prospects?

Brunette, Kruger, and Lepisto are missing from your lineup. Did you give up those three?

I like, I like, except for the 1st and 2nd D pairings. They seem a bit.... skewed.

I'd like to get Brenden Morrow if the Stars fall out of it. He has the rest of this year and next year at only 4.1M. We could really use a player like that and he's a left wing. Personally, I'd have no problem at give up our 1st plus Beach and a mid tier prospect for Morrow. He could take this team to the next level in the same way Doan can. Those two would be my top two forward targets at the deadline. I'm not sure about the D yet, but I hope Bowman can get one of the above two this year.

doesn't sound better if you ask me.

Why trade Morin/Saad for a guy like Ruutu? I would love to have him. He is the type of player we could need. And I've seen enough Canes games as of late, he isn't the same he was when he was a Hawk
