Huberdeau was sent back to the QMJHL by the Panthers.

JML froze an olympic sized swimming pool, then taught me to skate on it.

OK, it was a dream, but a cool one that I still remember.

Maybe during a commerical break they can put a video on the jumbotron. Nothing more than that.

He was an overrated, overpaid offensive defenseman who was a liability in the defensive zone. I've wanted him gone for a couple years now and I'm glad it finally happened.

I agree about the last part, he did seem like a good team player and a professional.

I wouldn't say he was overrated or overpaid if you look at todays market. When he signed the contract, I guess you could argue he was overpaid. All offensive defenseman get more notice and attention compared to others. If you notice, a lot all the offensive defense are said to be overrated (Kaberle, Liles, Green)

Well, it means the pre-season is over. Next time we see hockey, the season will be started. 3 days

Too bad the Avs don't play on day one.

I miss the person more then the player tbh. He was good when he was here but I won't miss his play with Elliott/Barrie coming up.

Assuming Elliott/Barrie will equate or surpass Liles' performance.

Gah, I will stop being bitter. What's done is done. And in case anyone is wondering, I am excited to see what both Barrie and Elliott can bring to the table in the NHL.

Anybody have an Eastern team (or another Western team) they're a fan of? Tampa Bay is a #2 team to the Avalanche... Very excited for them this season too.

Elliott will play a fair amount of games wether he is cut or not.

Don't worry, I understand what it's like to see a favorite leave. I've had many sleepless nights since Arnason left.

Chicago is my VERY distant #2 (parents grew up in NE Indiana) since my family and I followed them until the Avs came to town. That and all my other relatives out in Indiana are Wings fans and despise the 'Hawks, so ya know...

I am also quite partial of any team that Dan Boyle is on. First it was the Lightning, now it is the Sharks.

In all reality, however, the Avalanche are the only team I care about seeing win. Do I give it a second thought if any other team wins the Cup? Nope.

This.

Unless it's Vancouver and Toronto (leaf fan made a bet with me saying they would win in the next 5 years. Only 3 years left)

Funny, I like Danny Boyle too. Class guy.

My dad was a huge Atlanta Flames fan (had season tickets) so I grew up a Flames fan...Lanny MacDonald and the boys.

Then the Avs moved to Denver... now I hate them (the Flames).
