Coates is a raw player, but at his age and size, if he can figure it out in the next two or three seasons, he could be a heck of a player.

Made that one awful pass that led to Brighton hitting the bar, but otherwise been strong.
2 goes to Kuyt and the end...Bellamy looks GREAT.

Bellamy looks a bit gassed, but he does look like he has some left to give this season.

Absolute dive or even worse Carragher making another awful play. Also a horrible play from Spearing, oh well, good win.

Ball was clearly out before that. Not sure how the linesman could miss that one.
The announcer wondering why Bellamy was going after a Championship player with 25 seconds to go must be mentally slow. Killing time, and it's just Bellamy's way.

Liverpool draw Stoke away in the Carling Cup. Would have rather played anyone else.

Theoretically speaking, we have a better chance of advancing if we played United at Old Trafford with Howard Webb as the official. We're going to need some Rafa kind of luck for that tie.

I always hate the Stoke away fixture, never easy. I really want to see the club win this trophy though, COYR.

Easy 3-0 away win for United, Berbatov with a goal and assist, Valencia with a nice long distance goal.

Carroll looks great early in the Liverpool match. Great atmosphere at Stoke as well, both sets of fans in full voice.

Relying on you LITN. Have the NESN minute by minute going too, but that is not as good as Guardian's (they are doing Man City-Wolves).
The size of the backline makes sense, and this is a great opportunity for Coates. Glad Maxi and Spearing are in the starting XI too. Maxi should have a couple of league appearances this year already.
When will Suarez get a rest?

He's rounding into form. Needs to play more in the league and with Suarez IMO.

what a save. Great movement.
We're already setup for a European run. Add two or three players, and we've got a really deep side.

At least 5 times better than the league match against Stoke. Really open game. Great move by Liverpool and chance for Suarez was saved.
Carroll free header, a tad difficult, but saved.

Carroll really needs to get one. I think a goal here and he might get the feeling again.

Should be a good test for Coates with Stoke away.

Lucas and Spearing should be fun to watch in the middle.
