Very true. Not tough but I am watching Kulda closely since he is supposed to be a very solid safe defenseman and tonight he has every bit that part. Have hardly noticed him, which is huge for a player like him. And that is being paired with high risk Postma, I could see Kulda coming out and stealing a spot on the bottom pairing.
We must be thinking the same way, I've been keeping my eye on Kulda also. Have hardly heard his name, which like you mentioned is a good thing for someone with his game.
I'm kinda surprised the Jets didn't make a play for Hannan over Jones.
One thing to remember about a slower guy like Antropov, he may not be at his best in a wide open preseason game like this, but when the season starts and systems are brought in his bigger, controlled game will be more successful and he still has good offensive instincts. We will need his offense this season for sure, he needs to get back into the 60 point range and be a good PP player.
lets see how David Aebischer does here in the 3rd period
He does not need to do much to outplay Mason (he was pretty awful in Columbus tonight). I would not mind Aebischer as the backup, he seems to have a good attitude (willing to go to minors) and always was a decent backup.
