Cory Locke

I know the knocks against him, but is anyone else hoping he at least gets a long look?

86 points in 69 AHL games should at least make him part of the conversation, no? And nine NHL games with three different teams can't be a big enough sample size to be certain his skills won't translate to the NHL.

I saw Zibby and Dacosta at all three rookie games and they looked good (Dacosta sucks). But I'm not convinced they were as polished as Locke.

At 27, if he has a chance of cracking an NHL team, you'd think this would be it. Why not throw him on the second line for ten games with defensively responsible wingers and see what he can do?

He doesn't have the size but NHL players that usually don't have the size usually make up for it by their skating which is also really bad.

Can't skate.

Can't hit.

Can't cover.

Can't score.

Can't produce.

Can't win.

Can't do it.

Maybe you're right. That's obviously the consensus. But wouldn't you rather give him the games and be sure? The AHL is not a slow, non- physical game and he dominates.

Yeah.

He can't.

ZERO PRODUCTION at the NHL level.

The guy couldn't even crack our post deadline lineup.

Coaches obviously agree with you, I get that. But nine games with three teams? How many games did Regin go last year without a point? At least two stretches at about double that amount of games if I'm not mistaken. Are you giving him a chance?

Regin can skate.

Regin is two years younger.

Regin is WAY bigger.

Regin can actually back check.

He's the AHL MVP. He deserves a chance and the team can afford to give him one. I think they should.

Does.

No one.

Else.

Agree?

His job is to help Binghamton win hockey games, that's why Tim signed him last year.

Not enough speed to compensate for lack of size and grit to play in the NHL.

Yup. And most of those guys were given NHL games to see if they'd pan out. Not 1, 3 and 5.

Why is he not even in our HF prospects list? Should be top 15 at least. It was such a joke that he wasn't in the summer polls, but this is too much

This guy will never get the recognition he deserves. Go look at his stat sheet, then come back and tell me why he's not one of our best prospects.

His biggest proponents finally saw him at the NHL level last year and figured out he's too slow to contribute in any fashion.

I really hope I'm missing some sarcasm here. Locke's 27 years old. He's not a prospect.

Do you think Jesse Winchester is also a prospect?
