Oh well, nothing too great to pull out of this game besides the fact that a full Devil's team can only just barely beat our AHL farm. Talbot had some big saves there.

Not impressed with the Devils at all. Our rookie team took their near full NHL lineup to OT. Was Kovalchuk benched? Didn't see him out there till the end of the 3rd.

Lundqvist / Talbot almost won. Let's not pretend that this was even a close game. Goaltending aside, we were crushed. And we should have been, they iced their NHL roster.

Very good 1st pre-season game for a lot of their younger guys. Impressed by all of the young kids. I thought Christensen, Avery and Eminger were not very good.

Curious to see if Torts really picks a team on merit, or he just talks bla bla... If the first is the case, EC will not be on this team, Eminger will really have to battle to stay in the NHL...

addition: Talbot accompanies the team to Europe

Not a bad showing considering the roster that NYR iced.

Anisimov and Dubi both looked solid and AA's assist on the goal was really smooth. McIlrath played very well overall. He stood out way more than Erixon, who I thought was on a higher level than McIlrath during all of Traverse City but didn't look too confident with the puck tonight. Miller looked very good for his age and I'm excited to see him next year. Talbot was surprisingly sharp also.

The Devils team was... not as good as they should have been.

If the previous scrimmages or Traverse City didn't excite you, then tonight's game certainly should have.

Our last two 1st rounders -- Miller and McIlrath -- were excellent. Never looked out of place once.

It's too bad a lot of these kids will go their separate ways after camp. i would love for all of them to be in Hartford together.

Pretty exciting time to be a Rangers fan

Is Talbot usually this impressive? I don't pay much attention to Hartford at all.

Torts said he wants to get richards in friday if the groin is ok. I assume that means gabby as well to get those guys playing together in a game asap, also Im sure were going to see Vtank get a look here pretty soon.

Like most young goalies he is hot and cold. Its all about consistency with him and Johnson. They both have the ability but it's about who will show up that night.

People keep saying kovalchuk was invisible/must of been benched/sucks, but being at the game he had several exciting moments and is always in a dangerous position.. he seems invisible until he's in a scoring position out of nowhere. Also probably no need to give him a ton of minutes in a preseason game.

McI overall impressed me and Miller was exciting, especially looked good as the game went on. Nobody else was particularly impressive. Talbot had some big saves. Arti looks good for sure, hopefully he's going to be hungry and have a big year. Other guys had their moments but none of them overall showed me much. Eminger I said was dogging it earlier looked terrible for stretches and I'm not sure what he or Weise was doing on that OT goal.

Can't wait to see Richards and Gabby play together. Even if it is just preseason it'll be nice to get a glimpse of their chemistry.

Are you looking to get laid? That might be one of the creepiest posts I've ever read on here.

What a boring game. Good showing by some of our younger guys. Thought Avery had a good start to the game. Dubi was fine. Not much offense but what do you expect with that lineup.
