I noticed he's been heating up stats wise. How has he looked though, is he really breaking out as a good two-way guy this year? And who is he playing with?

It seems like he is, but I personally don't expect him to ever be a consistent two-way guy.
But to answer your other questions, he is still maintaining his stellar defensive play; if you see Duchene's goal from last night, he totally out-manuvered Murray and then scored the easy goal, but Duchene tried to do the same thing to Vlasic later in the game and was totally shut-down. He's been playing with Burns so far for the majority of the time, but he gets the odd shift with Braun/Demers. He gets 2nd PP time too.
Honestly, I'm just thrilled that he is showing some semblance of offensive instinct. Usually he would look absolutely gormless with the puck.
I hope this is part of his development-- he is only 24, even though he's been in the league for 6 years-- but part of me thinks it's just a phase.
He looked a little over cautious the last couple of seasons, rightfully so, but Vlasic has the ability to move the puck. I have never been more sure of anything in my life! Well I'm not that extreme in my opinion... but seriously Vlasic can move the puck. Its too bad he has a pop gun for a shot.

He has easily been our best defensive defenseman this season as well as creating a lot of chances in the offensive zone. This past week his chances are finally coming through.

I agree, it's great to see him contribute anything on offense since hes a very consistent defender. I'd love to see him become a great 2way defender, but this could just be a flash in the pan week for him
I remember at one point the Avs had a 2v1 and I was worried. Then I saw it was Vlasic as the Dman, I turned to my brother-in-law and said "its ok, Pickle's got this". And I was right, didn't even get a scoring chance.
Pickles hasn't been known for his offense, so it was surprising to see him have more points than Boyle. Will he be a consistent 2 way Dman, maybe not. But when he's on the defensive side of the game, especially odd man rushes, I'm not worried.
That pass he made on Marleaus first goal is something Ive never seen him do. Usually he would just slide to the left and flick a weak wrister into the other team's shin pads.
I laughed everytime Pickles joined in on the rush or pinched in the offensive zone in the first few games of the season, but his efforts have really paid off lately. Good for him. You can tell he's trying to take that extra step to become more involved in the play, and while he probably isn't going to outscore Boyle, I think he'll prove that this 3 game stretch isn't just a phase. It'd definitely be nice to have a scoring threat on the left since Murray and White aren't going to get it done. Vandermeer could maybe, but he never gets to play so...
My friend is a huge Couture fanboy and we have a wager on how many points he will put up in the next 2 years...was just curious to see what Sharks fans or ppl in general think. How is this a trollthread?
I've got maybe a stupid question. Is there a method to the madness (Or simply put a strategy) to trading? In any fantasy (Baseball, Football, or now Hockey), I'm always afraid about doing it because I don't think I know how. I think I feel this way like I do when I play something like Monopoly. I'm not sure what constitutes a good trade or what.
