That's why I got Direct TV coming to my house tomorrow to install the dish!
I have Time Warner and I get the NHL network. I was able to watch the game here and they both looked solid. Schenn is pretty damn quick and Simmonds does look bigger this year. I like the trade but I wll really miss Simmonds.
Looking at the box score Schenn led Flyers forwards in ice time for the game against Toronto and had an assist on one of the goals... Has he just not been noticable?
He didn't stand out at all. But it is preseason after all.
He showed a lot of energy in the offensive zone, but in the DZ he wasn't impressive at all. he and Sean Couturier had the most ice time (each with 17 minutes plus) but Couturier was the best player on the ice alast night ,and not just due to the Goal and Assist. He played hard and smart, was always in position and played both sides o f the puck well. He was very impressive in the DZ, esp on the PK. ON the 5-3 kill, he played his center position perfectly, using his body and stick to tie up the lane. Leafs couldn'[t do anything but pass around. As soon as Schenn took over for him, that ended, Schenn was out of position and a bit undone and the LEafs pressed the net. I found Schenn not as cofident playing in the DZ and in the OZ. And that's what the OHL scouts said of his play last year and Murray as well, tjhat his defense game needed work.
THe Flyers were so impressed with Couturier last night they signed him to an entry level contract.
Schenn is playing tonight between Talbot and Matt Read (Who was the 2nd best forward last night, very strong game). I expect Lavvy will try to give Schenn a lot of ice time.
