I'm actually stoked to see Mark Parrish play....he kind of disappeared for about 3 or 4 years.

Great article on him today by Ken Warren:

What kind of lines are we looking at here?

Nikita Filatov -Jason Spezza - Bobby Butler
Milan Michalek - Peter Regin - Daniel Alfredsson
Shane Prince - Mika Zibanejad - Erik Condra
Nick Foligno - Stephane Da Costa - Kaspars Daugavins
Mark Parrish - Corey Locke - Jim O'Brien,

Chris Phillips - Brian Lee
Sergei Gonchar - Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen - David Rundblad
Filip Kuba - Mark Borowiecki

Anderson and Auld

The bottom two forward lines don't really look like they'd mesh, but this is just my guess

Kuba,Michalek,Alfie...most likely won't be dressing. One of Regin or Karlsson won't be dressing either imo.

excited to see Brian Lee, JOB, and Daugavins will play.

They are somewhat underrated around here.

I expect Brian Lee to have a big year.

Brian Lee?

He's a regular defenceman this year... top 6, easy. We're all about developing young players this season, no way does management have Lee sit 60 games this season, while guys like Kuba (who have absolutely no future in Ottawa after this season) get regular icetime. Lee is ahead of both Carkner and Kuba, IMO.

I guarantee he plays 75+ games, with the obvious injury disclaimer. Sens will give him every chance to be a regular NHLer.

Phillips and Lee have also been very solid together and have displayed great chemistry....something we really haven't seen since Volchie left. Lee's spot on this team is a lock at this point.

Even though I'm a little disappointed because I'm excited to see Spezza play with Filatov (and Butler to a lesser extent), not having him in the line-up will make it easier to determine who look best for the coveted #2 center position. It'll be interesting to see who steps up tomorrow between Regin, Da Costa, and Zibby.

I agree with above. I want our young guys to play as much as they can to get a good look at them.

I'd personally like Alfie, Spezza to rest.

I'm fine with whoever in net.

hey guys

I don't follow the sens very much. But now, I'm a little confused. I thougt K-Daug was heating to europe? Wasn't there a report in spring or early summer he signed in latvia? But now he seems to be in your camp. Can please someone tell me what's the story about him?

thanks

I swear if Lee gets traded or scratched (like last year) I am going to lose it!

Lee was solid last year and solidifies himself as a regular in the NHL, he is our most underrated player by far on this team. This Guy doesnt get enough credit in the NHL. IMO Lee is ahead of Kuba and Carkner. Yes lets make all the jokes that he cant hit the net and isnt able to shoot through a wet paper bag. We all knew that when we drafted him that he was not going to be an allstar (thanks muckler)

But over the years Brian Lee has improved his Strength and his defensive side of the game and has really proved to us that he is a reliable shut down D-man. Heck he made Chris Phillips Better at the end of the season.

I really hope that he scores a goal this year...

I think it's as simple as him deciding to take another crack at the NHL after his vacation following the calder cup win.

though to be honest, i'd be surprised if he doesnt end up with dynamo riga within the next 2 years.

Everyone keeps saying this, but honestly I'd say Chris Phillips transition from pylon to serviceable defenseman was more because of Craig Anderson. Hell, even Kuba looked better down the stretch.

But I agree with the rest of what you said, by focusing solely on playing well in his own end (and making a pretty nice breakout pass) Lee looked really good, and some nights seemed like the only player on the team who bodychecked. His roster spot is pretty safe this year as a #5 or 6 defenseman
