Beaulieu isn't looking too bad either, I'd say not that far from Diaz yesterday despite 7 pro years less and much better opposition (as a team not necessarily his own pairing). Only two periods but very encouraging, he seems to fill very well his big frame, we don't need another tall, sluggish d-man a la Tinordi...
Quick on his feet and good reflexes, pretty good positioning for a youngster playing against men for the first time, doesn't get flat-footed too often. Makes dangerous plays, but it looks worse because his passes aren't crisp and hard enough, the play itself is good, but very high risk.
I wonder how real is the possibility of him playing NHL time this year ?
Considering the potential he should get ahead of the fringe journeymen and FA signings who are gonna end up in the AHL in the end anyway.
