Didn't make it in time before the lock on the old GDT but interesting game last night but it turned out to be a great one. A lot of back and forth action and it was nice to see the team fight for the lead against a team like Boston. A homerun, a double steal (one including stealing home), two walk in runs, a huge double that clears bases and gives us a lead late to win the game and and successfully throwing out a runner attempting to steal base was a great way to end it. Very unconventional way to end a 9th inning but it was pretty awesome.

I was really impressed by the patience at the plate in the 8th inning. For a team that loves to swing and swing hard, it was great to see the players exercise some patience and not get rattled by the clock winding down on them. To see guys like Arencibia and Thames fight a full count to take a walk (two guys that strike out quite a bit), was great to see. EE came up big but that's been his story quite a bit lately. Loewen's first hit and being a part of the 5 run inning was a feel good story for the guy. Frankie was shaky but did enough to make the save and he's been pretty lights out for us in his past several outings so I'll cut the guy some slack.

Hoping for a series win tonight boys!

By the way, did anyone catch The Dean Blundell Show yesterday morning? Arencibia and Lawrie were on and they were hilarious. If their personalities reflect the general attitude in the Jays dugout, I can see why the new guys who join the team have nothing but great things to say about the team experience.

Yep - Lawrie took off for second and when throw was made, Bautista went home.

Like others pointed out, double steal that saw Bautista run when they tried throwing out Lawrie in his attempt to steal 2nd. If I'm not mistaken, Lawrie has a perfect record in base stealing right now. When Bautista stole home and slid to the base, he ended up sliding right past the home plate and he had to get up and go back to the plate to touch it but it didn't matter because the ball went by the catcher so he had to run after the ball.

Sick! Thanks boys (and girls, Ive assumed you are all guys though?)

I was actually lucky enough to see hill steal home in person it was unreal . Pettitte (iirc) was taking forever to throw the ball each time, the crowd kept booing him then hilly just took off. I was also at the game where Ken huckaby got an inside the park Homerun. All I really need to see in person now is a triple play, gs, and someone hit for the cycle !

The staff has a lot of question marks for next year but if McGowan is back to old form and we can trade for a top of the rotation starter this rotation could be sick. I expect Morrow to be better also and same with Cecil. Alvarez will likely be starting too.

ACE (for Drabek + Snider + ?)
Romero
Morrow
McGowan
Cecil

McGowan getting back to his old form isn't very likely. It's even worse if you attribute the teams future success as a reliance upon McGowan being a starter.

That looks pretty good to me and fairly possible.

Add in a couple bullpen pitchers, and the improvement of the younger players and the team should definitely be pretty solid

Scutaro's defense saved a run twice.
