noob question here, can anyone tell me the max resolution a picture can be before it is automatically re-sized with that bar on top that say "click here to view original size"? I'm trying to make sure I make my slices the right size.

This can be customized per account, actually. Go to User CP then Edit Options (third section on the left), then look for "Please select the resize mode" and edit things as you like. Of course, most people will default to whatever the forum default is, so I guess you'd rather know that for purposes of GDT creation.

If you go wider than 700px then the user's window width can potentially break side-by-side images to the next line. So if you want to get the maximum width you place two 350px wide images together.

Well it was 350x300 when you asked me last season and it quietly changed to 550. I didn't expect anyone to think 550x7200 was a good idea so I didn't bother to point it out. Blame Buffaloed for not making a public announcement that the default image size went up.
