That should round out my GDT season unless I'm needed for an emergency GDT.
Edit: forgot I changed names. Couldn't stand being Uncle Martin anymore since I haven't been 100% supporting him anymore. I changed it so I still can be called, UM. Which I did like.
Sorry about the lack of GDT today guys. I finished school (woo degree!) and started a new job, so therefore no time. In addition to the new job, I've been working OT everyday for the new job. I'm just trying to get settled into this routine. It seems like all I do is work, go to bed, then work again. It's carazy.

NP, we got you covered. Congrats on graduating and the new job.
Some things are more important. Just try and let us know you can't do it.
I'd like to sign up for January 13th 2012. Pens vs Panthers. I've already got it done. Been messing around with it some. It would be my first one. If thats cool.
Right on, just don't expect too much. Think plagarism and that what my first one will be mostly. Hopefully I can do a few and get better.
I "borrowed" my first one from Doc, I think. Over time I threw in my own style and started using write-ups as my go-to. I also took images from Kinguin/UM (now UE) and tried to mess with them via my image editor.
Over time it just all comes together. Just try to find something that you do to separate yourself from the gang.

Welcome aboard, Frag. If you need anything just ask any of us.

And awesome stuff, fragmag. That's what sparks my interest in GDTs. I sometimes mess with a photo editor I downloaded and see what I can do.
I just want our board to be recognized as one of the better GDT boards, and in time fighting to be as close to the best as possible. San Jose is a tough board to beat.

We all started where you are at one point. Some are more experienced in graphics and even Cole can tell you I'm no where near the best while I'll never claim to be so. I can help with the basics/extended basics. A lot done through trial and error. As Cole did, I also had help from Kinguin, and from time to time we will work on special projects/game GDT's together. Like the Winter classic, where there was multiple contributor's and one guy who put all the pieces together.
Just have fun with it, it's a great release doing these. There's some head banging at first, but try, try again until you are satisfied.
Can't wait to see it, and remember we're here to help.

Correction: Still UM, Cole. I still like that tag and why I scratched the E and left the U in front of (-E-)ugen(-O-)e >>Ugene + Malkin = UM.
To take it a bit further from the rest of your post; I don't think there's anything wrong with taking the best everyone has to offer and making it your own. I want everyone to have great GDT's and if it means copy catting... I don't have an issue with it at all. As much as we are all individuals, we all help each other out, and in essence a nice tight nit group.
So, do what you will, and there will be no hard feelings. It is just a message board.
I've also been thinking, Cole. We could just have some tech sessions here in this thread for any trial and tribulations. Get things worked up, condense it/add it to the OP or 1st post, and then you can wipe the slate clean to keep the thread free of clutter.
Pick one thing go over it and move onto the next. The more tech stuff we post in the beginning, the less people will have the need to ask some of the basics in doing them.
Wow, thanks guys. I've got a lot to learn, but it looks like you guys have all the basics covered for me. I'm nowhere near ready to do one like Col and lirit did, those were amazing. Looks like I'm going to need to get a copy of photoshop or something similar. I'm using photobucket now to host my pics. Any suggestions on a nice user friendly photoshop type program?

You can do it right there in Photobucket too. Just mess around a bit. You can add a picture to the one you are working on. You can use the smart scissors to crop out players or anything you want to layer it over your main picture. There's a layers button above right/center and you can use opacity there. Photobucket takes some of the thinking out of the work. I use this mostly and paint.
Everything in this GDT Redwings on the 13th was done with Photobucket and the main pic I added animated snow on another site. Just remember to save your work often and don't delete any saved pics until your work is done or you are satisfied with the final pic.

Any questions just ask, I'll gladly help out.
Got it. I'm tooling around with photobucket now. Thanks. Everything's working pretty well, except I tried messing with some PHP. I think I'll leave that alone for now. Baby steps I guess. lol
I can do the Rags game on Jan 19th if you want. Just figured you might want to see my finished product first in case I wasn't going to be invited to do another one again.
I updated all the GDTs and results. I will admit I was flying through it so if anything is messed up, please PM me. I'll take care of it and it is not a slight to anyone!
On top of that, I grabbed some games. If someone requested before, please just PM me. You know the drill!
Lastly.. it always gets rough around this time of year but let's kick some ****ing ass on these GDTs. You heard Shero.. we will be in the playoffs.
