I had a hearty laugh when it was announced there'd be no Nickelback. All this bickering for nothing. Love you guys.

"The ‘now’ is very good in Chicago. The ‘now’ back in the days when they were drafting first, second and third? It wasn’t very good. But the core of fans that stuck with them, if you asked them now, I betcha they’d say it was worth it.” - Kevin Cheveldayoff

Have you seen Three Days Grace live? I don't mind their music, but they were the most boring band to watch at Rock on the Range 2010. I'll still be going ofcourse.

I actually haven't seen them live. To be honest, I will probably be taking in all of the interactive stuff while they are playing. I've never been a big concert goer.

I am with you. There isn't an act they'd be likely to bring in that i'd have the slightest interest in. Hopefully the peripherals will be worth the time to check it out.

Haha, with the jerseys might be funny. If I have free time tonight (it's my birthday so I don't know if the girlfriend planned anything ) I'll give it a shot.

Since this is coming up quick, I thought I'd bump it up.

Anyone have a schedule of events (when the bands play, etc)? Want to know what I can see when I'm done work.

NEW YORK – International rock legends Bachman & Turner, platinum-selling rockers Three Days Grace and Winnipeg-born rock band Inward Eye will perform as part of the 2011 Molson Canadian NHL Face-Off™ season-opening hockey and entertainment festival at "The Forks" in Winnipeg, October 6, the National Hockey League announced today. Portions of the musical performances will air on CBC, VERSUS and NHL Network, starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

CBC's pre-game show, Scotiabank Hockey Tonight, hosted by Ron MacLean and broadcast live nationally starting at 6:30 p.m. ET, will open with a performance from Bachman & Turner. Three Days Grace (@threedaysgrace) will perform a set at the top of CBC's Hockey Night in Canada broadcast of the Toronto Maple Leafs-Montreal Canadiens game. Winnipeg's own Inward Eye (@inwardeyemusic) will open the musical portion of the day's festivities with a performance of songs from their 2009 self-titled debut. All three acts will be introduced by George Stroumboulopoulos (@strombo), host of CBC Television's flagship late-night program, George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, who will serve as the event's emcee.

"We can't wait for another season to begin, and we're thrilled to deliver CBC's Hockey Night in Canada along with a stellar lineup of entertainment to fans in Winnipeg and across the country," said Julie Bristow, Executive Director, Studio and Unscripted Programming for CBC.

I sang it in a Kroeger voice and I think it could work.

And thanks for the info Jet, I guess I could've just googled. I'm off work at 4:30 so I think I'll just take a nice walk from City Hall.

At the sake of getting roasted for putting forth a musical opinion to this John Cusack, Jack Black "esk" high fidelity music snob crowd ()

I saw Inward Eye at the Zoo the year of the juno's when they were just kids and I liked the band. the drummer was exceptional in a Keith Moon "esque" way and they had a good vibe for a young local act

ever since the demise of Nickelback the energy has waned on this thread

edit: thanks Hammer time for the heads up....an editor is always a good thing

Nothing to whine about so everyone left.

Also just a friendly heads up, it's "Jack Black-esque" not esk.

I've never seen Inward Eye but I've heard good things. I don't really care who plays though, it's gonna be a PARTY!
