I'm interested how the team will play without Armstrong in the lineup. I find he always improved team work ethic in games he played last year.

Boyce in for Bozak, Ziggy takes Boyce's spot on the 4th line. Decent lineup tonight. Everyone should give Connolly some breathing room. It's pre-season and not many vets actually go 100% out there. He's also been dealing with an unknown family matter, so keep it in perspective.

I just created him. Took me forever to get the leafs team and prospects done properly. The ratings for the prospects are just stupid. The majority of our prospects are like in the 60's with no potential. Have Gardiner at 79 overall but with 90 speed, acc, agility etc. So fun to breakout with him.

Thought Blacker would get another game?

Gardiner in again, he could very well crack the team, management has already backed off earlier comments and are now saying they "reaccess day to day" on who makes team.

I love Gerbe. Kid is all heart and is quick as hell out there. He's going to have a big year I think.

Does Gardiner have a shot of maming this team? I cant see where he fits in

One of Komi/Gunnar/Franson is already going to be the 7th man and They wont keep 2 of them out. Aulie is likely the next to go but is Gardiner ready to play with Phaneuf?

Schenn and Gunnarsson should be used as a shutdown pairing against Buffalo's and other teams top offensive lines.
-28 of the that -30 came in years where the Avalanche had 68 and 69 pts

Sub 70 point teams are always full of minus players.

It's not really a reflection of his defensive ability as much as it tells us he played top minutes on a crappy team.

Don't see it happening. There would have to be something terribly wrong with some of the 7 defenseman we have now if Gardiner was to make it on the NHL roster.

One of Gunnarsson, Komisarek, and Aulie's spot could be robbed by Gardiner.

Might be Aulie unless he plays well.

Interesting line-up, too bad Bozak is not playing - would have been pretty close to the staring line-up. Kadri/Frattin line would be fun to watch

Oh man, maybe Wilson is smartening up this year with his job on the line.

Some very, very encouraging signs in that virtual starting lineup.

Love seeing Scrivens backing up Reimer, love seeing a Gunnarsson-Franson pair getting a look, and love seeing Boyce in there over Dupuis.

Nonis said in the Sun yesterday that so far Gardiner hasn't showed any weaknesses in his game, but it is still early and the pre-season.

Gardiner has played great but it's pretty tough to gauge where he's at playing against half an NHL roster during pre season. Tonight on with more fuller line ups will be his big chance to make something happen for himself.

As long as the Leafs brass keep doing the exact opposite as your out to lunch pontifications, the team should be just fine.

These lineups are close to being the season starting ones and now it's just getting a little cohesiveness, between the Centers and Wingers

The Defence is not set yet but I still think they are taking a long look at Gardiner and some of the other D, to find the best pairings going forward, Schenn and Komisarek are basically a lock on the back end.

Scrivens too is getting a long look and if Gustavsson falters, or a goal tender is injured, I'm sure Scrivens will be called up to fill the position.

So a big game tonight and it should be a dandy.

Go Leafs Go!

Not a great deal of difference.
Seriously? You do realize that the sabres top defense pairing (Myers/Regehr) isn't playing along with their entire 2nd line (Stafford/Leino/Ennis) and Hecht and Sekera are sitting out as well...hmmmm...also their top prospects Zack Kassian, Marcus Foligno, and Luke Adam are scratched...
