Well, he is being held out of pre-season games, and no one is saying a word about him. It's entirely possible that they're trying to deal him. Kind of like when you see guys at trade deadline getting scratched at the last minute so they don't get injured before a trade.
Or he could still be injured and we can chalk it up to our generally ****** team coverage.
A lot of you have asked about Scott Glennie's health and why he isn't participating in training camp, and I've kind of dropped the ball on that one.
I didn't expect Glennie to make the NHL roster, so I just figured he was hurt again (as he often has been at these camps) and would eventually go to Cedar Park when he got healthy. But I asked Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk about it this morning, and he said Glennie is dealing with concussion-like symptoms.
Glennie was hit hard in a training camp scrimmage up in PEI and left the ice. It was defined as he ``tweaked'' something at the time, and then we didn't hear much about it. We haven't seen him working out much and he has not been on the ice at all. There's reason for that.
``He got hit in the head and we're treating that right now,'' Nieuwendyk said. ``We want to make sure he's good, and we're taking our time and being cautious, but I think everyone believes he'll be fine and recover from this pretty quickly.''
