Seen him play a couple of times and honestly, with a linemate and some more confidence I could see him raising up the draft ranking this season, but did not think he was already rated this high
I could see it happening, but in the last 10 years there hasn't been one team picking 1st overall that had a solid goalie in net.
Anderson is a good goaltender. If he gives the team a chance to win every night I doubt we finish with the worst record in the league.
Agreed, Anderson is a good goalie. I have no idea why Greg Sherman decided to trade him for Brian Elliot... Senators are a young team full of question marks, somehow I don't think they'll finish dead last, but I'm pretty sure they'll be on bottom 6.
And for the Wild, I'd rather have Ebert or Reinhart than Rielly.
8. NY Islanders - Nick Ebert - D...... Tavares should have a monster year, but D and goalies are still a problem... Isles should go for a Dman here given their young depth at forward, Ebert's gotta be the best bet.
10. Calgary - Griffin Reinhart - D...... Didnt improve at all, I dont see them making the playoffs... Flames need more young D in their sysem.
15. New Jersey - Cody Ceci - D...... with Parise back and a defensive minded DeBoer as head coach, NJ should be back to their old winning ways... Dman from the OHL is a good bet for them here, 2 years in junior already for Ceci.
Latest lists I am seeing are having Ebert and Reinhart quickly playing their way out of the top 10, and Ceci playing his way into the top 10.
I do not think if Gaunche was such a high OHL pick he'd be mentioned where he is. I've seen him twice and been far less than impressed.

Your Overrating Anderson, he really isnt a very good goalie. His 1st half season with the Avs was outstanding and everyone believes he is great because of that half a year stint, but besides that he was terrible in Colorado, minus playoffs were he had a couple good games. But he is incredibly streaky and if he has a bad game or 2, then he will continue to play bad for the next 5-6 games, and he seems to have some attitiude problems, because the Avs wouldnt sign him to a 4 year extension in the 2010 Offseason, he got really mad at the Avs managment and basically just stopped trying to win and play, thus leading to his trade. He even showed at the beginning of the year how bad he can be, and he might be playing ok right now, but if he has a couple bad games then it wont look pretty for Ottawa for a while!
I hope to hell Toronto doesnt pass on Frk. Kid has serious skill.
Exactly why I scrolled down to reply. Seen this kid play a few times, I live in Halifax, he's always impressed me. Tends not to shoot, but when he does... HE CAN.
I really dont like any mock draft that has the Pens taking another D. We are stocked to the brim with Dmen waiting for someone to slip up and take their job. Despres, Morrow, Streit, Bortuzzo, Harrington are all destined to be AHL players because of our deep D-core. At least have the pens grab a center for once so in 3-4 years when we lose Staal or Malkin we will have someone to fill in
I like our pick but if that's who Lou and Conte are targeting, they'll move down since there's about 2 or 3 teams after them who all have stellar #1 netminders for the future.
