2011-12 CBJ Board fantasy hockey thread (talk for all 3 leagues here)
There has been chatter in some threads about starting up the fantasy hockey leagues for the season. It's starting to get down to it.
Last year, we ran three leagues. The plan was to have teams move up and down based on their league standings, kinda like Euro football. Don't know if that can happen and how complicated that might be.
Looks like at least one league is up and running for this season. I know for sure the Premiere League is not yet. Macster always ran that one - I have a willing party if he's not up for it. Keep an eye out in the coming days.
Driesen - feel free to include whatever you need to in here.
Anyway, please use this thread for all discussion of these leagues. Thanks.

I reupped in the Grinder League...need to capitalize on last year's 4th place finish or whatever it was...finished 2nd in points, laid an egg in the playoffs...sound familiar?!
Here are the final standings from last year. I will join again. Let me know in here if you are going to be in this league again or if you want to join this league. 3 goals = chili was the commissioner last year. I'll try to set the league up though and I think that will send invitations out to the teams from last year. I don't know if the top 2 will move up and the bottom 2, from the league above us, will move down. Just let me know.

I tried to renew the league, but couldn't. 3 Goals = Chili is going to have to renew it. It should be easy. All you should have to do is go to this site http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey and renew the league.
i can't find the final Grinder standings...hopefully I can get the oh by the way call up to the premier league...

Not that I want to add to the confussion, but I have a bit of a dilemma regarding moving up or down between the three different leagues. Currently I am the commish of the Grinder, but my team (Golden Warriors) finished 13th last year, so I am scheduled to move down to the Prospect. Last year as a means of filling the Prospect league with enough teams, I agreed to field another team (Redfield T-Bombs) which it turns out, happened to be the champion. So what do I do? I don't mind running the Grinder league, but can't do it if I am in the Prospect and my second team is inactive. I remember the chaos that went on last year trying to figure out who was playing, who was moving up, moving down, filling the Prospect. Made my head spin, and I hate to start the chaos for this year.

It really doesn't bother me what happens. Whatever is the easiest for everyone.
It doesn't matter to me how we handle promotions etc. It does seem, though, that if a to-be-demoted team is a no-show (although I believe Slasher showed up late last year too), that you don't need to demote another team in its place.
All that said, it's not somehting to worry about for the second-place team fromPremiere last season - and a bitter taste that has left, despite Matthew's well-earned championship.
So, since I accidcentally deleted the email with the registraiton info, can someone please PM me the ID and password?
EDIT: nvm
